£25 for me , thats 2 x £25 & 1 x £100 sincs Feb this yr on £8000 .
Last yr I cashed £2500 worh and bought some gold coins just to see what they might do , sold them about a month ago and made £200.
Just wondering whether to buy more bonds or put it back in gold .
If I choose the gold I would buy bullion ( prob 100 gr bar ) not coins again and there is more of a premium when selling coins.

lucky month for me. 1 x £50 and 1 x £25 on holding of £3750.
also had 1 x £25 in April. feeling lucky...might buy a lottery ticket now!0 -
I put £5000 into premium bonds some time last year and have made £125 so far (5 x £25) so I think I've been quite lucky. I've definitely made more than I would have done with a mini cash ISA.0

I have put just 500 pounds into premium bonds and my sister has put in 300. We both have held the bonds for a little over a year and still nothing. Good luck to king100.
I think you have a better chance on the stock market.0 -

I don't think so! If you had a cash ISA paying 3%, you would have got £150 so far (assuming a whole year).
On average, a decent cash ISA will beat the average returns from PB's. As has been said numerous time, PB's are fine as a flutter for fun. They are not a serious means of saving. In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
