Either my father is very unlucky or its not worth it.

30k invested in PB, no winner since March!!!

    Nothing

    April
    May
    June
July - not sure if they are out yet.

    From the PB calc

    The Key Result

Sorry you are unlucky! 88.1% of people who have put £30,000 in premium bonds over 6 months win more than £100.
I all have learnt is from others on many sites.

So according to the article the lower prize pay out is because holders have asked for more frequent winnings? Funny that, as I thought it was due to the lower interest rates and the fact that NS&I don't get anywhere near what they used to get from saving our money!

It's just a coincidence then that this decision comes just when there is a recession and interest rates are down!!! ;)

I wonder if the total number of prizes have increased?

Anyway, I look at the list of winners on the NS&I website each month, just out of curiosity.

Every month there is at least one person who wins big on a total holding of £100.
This month, one person from suffolk has won £10,000 on a £1 bond and a total holding of £6 bought in 1970.

So with my calculation I may win something similarly large in 2050! yipeeeee :)

the price rate dropped to 1:36000 but but went back to 1:24000 so a full holding should still win on average more than 1 a month

I just told my collegue that someone won £10,000 on a £1 bond, he is from suffolk and has a bond, given to him on his 1st birthday, he was born Sept 1969.

He doesnt know his bond number so I await baited breath.
