Whitewing, it depends on how old your son is. If he is under 16, the bonds will be in someone elses name, maybe the person who bought them for him??? But they will be holding them on his behalf and his name will be on the paperwork somewhere. Once he gets to 16, they revert to him. If he is over 16 now, he can tell the bonds people he has changed his address. If he won anything when he was under 16, the cheque would be in the name of the person who holds the bonds on his behalf. Once he reaches 16 he can buy as many bonds for himself, as he wants. He cant buy them for himself iF he is under 16. They have to be in the name of a parent/grandparent, who hold on his behalf.

Hi Trademark. I will reply without having a go at you or anyone else regarding number of bonds and wins and just state facts. 17th June 2009 purchased £30000. Winnings up to 12th April 2010 £400. About 1.33%. I don’t feel that’s very good so I’m pulling out.

Having sold our house last Feb we put the maximum holding each into PB as the bank interest rates were very poor.
    Return from PB was
    Me........... £30k holding in 14 draws Apr 09 - May 10 £1025 or about 3.4%
    Missus...... £25k in 13 draws(may 09 - may 10) and £5k in 12 draws(jun 09 - may10) - £725 or 2.4%

In that time we had a £500 win each, everything else were £25, one of us won every month apart from Jul and Aug where neither of us won anything

Now bought a house so that was the last draw for us for some time
