I got one win @ £1k this month on a £45k holding. Best I've done in a few months as it's only really been the odd £50 or £25 prizes this year so far. I did get a £10,000 prize 2 or 3yrs back so have not done too badly really with my holdings.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.4 -
Woh! you have done superbly. Well done.

For a 50K holding there is only a 1 in 113 chance of winning at least £1,000 (at the current prize fund rate) in a single draw, or about once every 9.5 years. That's a great result.
Odds would have been different then but with a 50K holding it is currently a 1 in 2,873 chance of winning 10K in a single draw, or once every 239 years!

Yes I try not to think of those odds when checking my numbers.
I won £1k at the beginning of the year on about £30k holding. So, it is worth knowing that even winning that amount, let alone more, will be a rare event for most individuals.

I started with a £4,700 amount in August
2022. I always auto reinvest any prizes. After a £50 prize in October my
total is now £5,575.My yearly wins:
2022 = £25
2023 = £100
2024 = £175
2025 = £325
2026 = £250
This month's £50 win and January's £100 win were both different batches of premium bonds that had been reinvested into new premium bonds from previous small wins.

After a year of holding £13k, I have won £0 in this draw. And in every previous draw. By the MSE calculator, that makes me incredibly unlucky. Makes me feel much less bad about the fact I'm taking it all out next month when my mortgage rate increases.
Mortgage start date: 01/10/2021
Original mortgage debt: £128,000
Remaining debt (01/10/2026): £70,183
Daily interest: £2.37
Mortgage debt end of 2023: £101,528 | Mortgage debt end of 2024: £88,876 | Mortgage debt end of 2025: £78,1642 -
Yes, by any measure that's unlucky - roughly 1 in 1666 on current odds, although less generous terms would have applied for much of the rest of that year.

Here is the median return (and best and worst 5% figures) over the past year (November 2025 to October 2026 inclusive) on premium bonds with a full 50K holding throughout, taking into account changes in the prize fund rate and overall win rate. The prize fund rate averaged 3.68%pa over the past 12 months which compares with the current prize fund rate of 4.35%pa.
The figures for a 20K holding throughout are as follows, note the slightly lower median (3% vs 3.2%) and wider range in returns
The current median (for a full 50K holding) if the prize fund rate remains at 4.35%pa for the next year is £1,900 (3.8%)

£250 for me this month on full holding.
£50 x 1
£100 x 2
I tend to track financial years instead of calendar years (strange I know), so between May 2026 and October 2026, my total winnings have been £2,350, helped by my win of £1,650 in June of this year. This gives me a current yield of £4.70%, if my maths are correct! Average monthly wins so far are £195.83.
