    £150 on FH this month.
    Happy enough with that.
Happy with 3.6% (£150 on £50k) really? Best easy access ISA is 4.85% So that would have been £202.08 per month (excluding compounding!)
I'm not greedy. My previous month I said I was on a rolling 12 month total of 5.85% which will have dropped now to 5.8%.
Take the rough with the smooth.

That's pretty significant context being added - being happy with a rolling average of 5.8% is a very different story from being happy with a month that would represent an annualised rate of 3.6% (although to be fair, even the £150 is above par)!

Yeh I was just keeping it simple to be honest. I'm not big on maths but I look at the last 12 months wins and add the latest one then remove the one from 12 months ago giving me a running total which I get my percentage from. I've been lucky these last few months and don't want to spoil it by shouting it from the roof tops.  But I guess I've ruined it now....!

    I received the "You've just won!" email today and: £75 (50 & 25) on £12k holding  :)

I got a letter today informing me that I'd won a reallocated 50 quid from way back in April 2024. I knew they did reallocations but didn't know they were from so long back. It's also not a standalone prize but 50 quid added to a bond number that had won 50 already that month so changing that one bond's win to £100. Odd way it's done.

Many people who have a full holding are already maxed out on their ISA limit, I know I am.  If you're a 40% tax payer that £202 you quote drops to £121 so the premium bonds were a much better bet.  And no ISA is ever going to potentially pay you £1million for your £50k investment!
Maxed out here, ISA and PBs. Suppose i shouldn't have assumed ! I love paying 40% on my savings nowadays

I’m down to 4.3% for 2025 and rolling 12 months. I’m not maxed out with ISAs but retain the option to bail at any point this way (as well as the chance of a big win.) I have a 4.4% fixed ISA from 2022 which has turned out to be OK but not great, but I never got to the point of pulling the trigger and taking the penalty (matures 1st Jan next year.) NatWest 5.9% from 2023 is the one I really should have maxed out and then put the Premium Bonds back later.

I grabbed the Suffolk 4.15% Fixed ISA with a funding window of the end of the tax year, so I’m still ahead at the moment.

You must have been top of the pile of £50 wins.
Someone on here explained it once that if a prize is not claimed, all the bonds beneath it get shunted up one.
For most people that has no effect. Only those at the top of the pile for each prize beneath will benefit so the unclaimed prize must've been at least £100 and you were top of the £50 prizes. This meant that when you were shunted up, your £50 prize then became a £100 prize and you were due an additional £50 on that bond.

Incremental rates of Income Tax are, currently, as high as 60%. Definitely candidates for Premium Bonds. :)

I wish they'd release all the prizes on the same day. This waiting one extra day malarky is very annoying.
