Someone with a £14 holding from 1977 has won £100,000. And there's a £1 holding from June 1970 with a £1000 prize.Just proves that holding on is better than cashing in and rebuying.

I wonder if the holder is still alive after all this time. I recently found a £10 bond that I must have got as a birthday present back in the early 70s. I did check but there were no unclaimed wins on it.Section62 said:Someone with a £14 holding from 1977 has won £100,000. Out of interest, where did you check? I had a look around the NS&I web site a while back as I have some bonds which have no holder number, bought by my parents before a holder number was a thing.Keep_pedalling said:I wonder if the holder is still alive after all this time. I had a £10 bond from 1992. When I set up a formal account 26 years later I enquired about them and got them allocated to my new holder number.0
