Searching site with Firefox

Here you go:
http://www.geocities.com/sra555/msesearch.html
Drag the link on that page to your Bookmarks toolbar
Or you can right-click it and 'Bookmark This Link'
You can just click it on that page to see what it does
That searches the main site. For the forum you need to use the search next to 'Quick Links'
I need to get round to building a couple of search plugins when I have time0 -
thank you very much sra. A work around not a fix, but far better than nothing.0

Another workaround:
Firefox Quicksearch
Create a new bookmark (Bookmarks / Manage Bookmarks then New Bookmark)
Fill in the following:
Name: MSE Main search
Location: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?search%s
Keyword: msemain
and save the bookmark anywhere you like.
From now on, typing msemain followed by a keyword in the address bar will search for that keyword on mse0 -
Name: MSE Forum search Location: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search.html Keyword: mseforum
and that's the one I use to search the forum0 -

..tedious, I know, but there must be an answer somewhere...
Just to point out that you can run firefox in 'safe mode' (their words which I think will confuse people thinking of windows safe mode) This loads up firefox with all the extensions disabled so you can tell if it's an extension that's mucking things up
When you got Firefox, there should have been two Firefox icons in the Start Menu - One of them with safe mode written beside it.
If you don't have that for some reason you can just make a copy of your existing Firefox shortcut then select properties and change "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" to "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode

Yeahbut that's too easy
There's a heck of a learning curve but I'm really getting to like firefox. If only it would load amazon pages at something better than a snails pace I'd never use IE again.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
