We have been to Duinrell 4 or 5 times, the first time we went with keycamp (i think) but since then we have always booked directly with the site.
www.duinrell.nl The duingalows are fab, last year we went in the middle of August and it cost about £500-600 for the week for 6 of us. This includes free admission all day every day to the theme park, 2hours a day in the tiki pool, which is a hugh indoor pool with slides and waves etc. an outdoor pool. We go to the supermarket in the village, (out of the main gates and straight across the road) I find it quite a bit cheaper than at home. We always fly (liverpool - amsterdam) easy jet, it's cheaper than taking the car on the ferry by a mile, you can then either get a train to Leiden then a taxi or bus, but to be honest the last time or 2 we just got a taxi straight to the camp cost about £40.
Duinrell is a really good holiday, clean, friendly and everyone speaks excellent English.0 -

We've just been to Duinrell, stayed in a Duingalow and had an excellent time - well, the kids enjoyed it more than we did,but there you go. Sadly we couldn't afford the go-karts (15 euros per day) but judging from the racket well after 11pm every night, everyone else's kids did! Take ear plugs.
If Duinrell starts to feel like a cultural desert - give it a couple of days - you can go to Den Haag and see some old masters at the Mauritshuis museum. It saved my sanity, though not much money as I'vegot used to going everywhere on half price offers!
Enjoy......0 -

From memory, aren't the Duingalows close to the entrance to the park - hence the noise????
Our Keycamp van was on the 'island' and very very quiet. Althought it was a fair walk from the park entrance, there are fortunately lots of little 'shortcuts' into the park round the back, and we found our way in through the trees just opposite where our van was.:D0 -
I used to live in the netherlands and try to get back as often as i can, for any 'younger' ones going (18+) who will be there on the 12th of July check out https://www.dancevalley.com this is an event not to be missed. I have been to it every year since 1994.0

we have been to de Kajeskelder twice. We love it and would go back regularly. We found the accommodation good, better value 7 years ago than it was last year though.
We found food expensive, generally used Lidl to try and reduce costs. We also try and do a French hypermarket shop on the way out there
We had no trouble using our nationwide cards anywhere and used it to get cash for small purchases.
The pancakes are wonderful and if you can manage to find somewhere that does poffertjes (mini pancakes) they are even better!
The people we encountered were so friendly and spoke English to us very happily (and well).
Even on this much smaller park we didn't need many days out. We did Amdterdam, Efteling and the Delta project. The rest of the time we cycled locally and used the parks facilities. The cycling is fantastic but if you hire a bike be warned the Dutch bikes tend to have peddle brakes where you cycle backwards to brake.
I love the Netherlands and would happily go back there every year if we could afford an annual holiday!0 -
Were off to center parcs in the summer in the Netherlands, have friends in the Hague i have never had any issues with credit cards in the Netherlands, and been a number of time, though do carryboth mastercard and visa because some only accept one.
The only issue i have had is in the 24 pertrol pumps.
We are going to france for a week and then up to the Netherlands for a week can't wait
