No there is nothing stopping me, but principles , although you say (and quite rightly) it is not an absent father fee, how many women do you know that the csa chase?
I suppose if the mother worked full time and actively reduced opportunity of living off the state then I would in my own circumstance be more interested in playing a part, in my eyes it is not a good example to set for children .
From my own personal experience...this single mother would love a job whether it be part time/full time any job but guess what it wont happen unless there is childcare facilities that are able to cope with my disabled child...so if me relying on the NRP and the state to support us makes me a bad parent then so be it

Does my NRP give a fig about our child honestly i doubt it very much! Not one single birthday/xmas card in 13 years. The only time my NRP get's in contact is to b!tch about child support so please...nevermind pointless exercise.

;) We would all like to get to know you :p

I don't want to get to know him - he's a woman hater of the worst kind in my opinion.

In the world of DUTR all women are money grabbers and all men are woe is me hard done bys - worse he is a plausible misogynist, he makes his woman hating comment - he is then called on it - he then apologises or claims it was not aimed at the person asking for advice, he then tones it down slightly although does not change his actual stance by saying 'some women' 'some PWCs' etc

Someone else asks for advice - he makes his woman hating comment etc etc ad nauseum.

People like that make my skin crawl because it's all about pretend apologies so he can go on spreading his hate. No better than some of our PWC hating trolls in my opinion - he just hates women instead.

    Ladies ....
I did not say all PWCs , I know in my case the Mum does not have the same limitations that some of you have.
Now from my narrowmind view point, if the same or similar energy that is used to hound the NRP was applied to fighting for job opportunities and childcare , we would all be talking a different story. I'm not moaning about paying csa and I know it annoys some as I don't see my child either. I certainly don't hate women , it does seem though that some are NRP haters, as whatever they do or contribute will never be enough or good enough.

So you are punishing the child by not 'playing a part' as the Mother chooses not to/can't for whatever reason work?

Is that what you are saying?

And it's not a 'fee', it's a contribution for the child that you created that I am sure you weren't 'not playing a part in' when you were getting your end away.

You're a classy man. No matter what kind of Mother they may or may not have, it has to be a hell of alot better than having you as a father in their life.

Hey - that's my assessment of him - and I'm sure partly because he reminds me strongly of a 'lothario' who pretends to love women and hurt a friend (and their children) very badly in the past :o

You choose your own friends ;)

I wouldn't know if the child is being punished, there is no contact , so it is fair to assume all is ok.
It is a fee (in my eyes) if the tables were turned the contribution would not be enforced, as said I pay mine so cannot be crucified there, so now you are saying I'm a bad dad, so the child is better off without me , then moan that I stay out of the child's life, make your mind up please
