Haven't done much here except everyone feed and WM still on, nearly through all the washing now Phew. It's been taking up the hall for weeks now.:o
Right cuppa first and things to do are
1) 2 more loads of washing and it's finished for now.
2) clear DS's room, sort clothes, wipe door.
3) hoover hall and clear window sill.
4) put clothes away.
5) empty bins and bring any dirty dishes up.
6) clear our bedroom floor and hoover.
7) sort uniforms and bags and shoes, money for school.
8) bring in sticks and coal.
9) clean floors in kitchen and hall.
10)clear rubbish in utility room as we can't open door fully.
That will do for now and i'll update later, hope everyone's having a nice sunday afternoon.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
3 loads of washing done, dishes (except tea ones) are washed and there is a coat of white paint on DD's room
Not bad for 5 hours work, especially as I'm also bathed and dressed in clean clothes and my hair isn't greasy but lovely and clean and smelling nice
:rotfl:
Just waiting for DD to finish her tea then she's having a shower as we've just realised Nanny McPhee is on soon and she wanted to watch that so no time for a bath  Need to go and sort stuff for DD out now upstairs.
Back later with proper updated list & plans for tonight :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Hello all,
Well, I'm now officially exhausted. Pigpen's 25 things on ebay challenge really challenged me. I now have 29 things up there. Trouble is, I seem to spend more time researching to do the narrative bit than I do actually putting the blooming things up!
I have, really, done nothing else today. One particular listing proved quite tricky to research. But I found the buzz words in the end!
Now off to surface from the pc room and think about this roast dinner I started a little while ago.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Just had the bizarrest of all bizarre phone calls. An old bloke I know has been in hospital for the last few days. He's pretty ill (asbestosis and all that).
The call was from a friend who was in a bit of a state. She'd been phoned by the relatives of the old boy to say he'd just died. She started phoning a couple of people to let them know then the phone rings again and it's the relatives of the old boy saying actually, no he's not, he's started breathing again
All the relatives are, naturally, in a bit of a state about it all. One minute he's dead, next minute he's not. It's just so bizarre!!!!
How can the medics say he's dead and then say - actually, sorry, he's not
I personally don't know whether to laugh for joy or cry through exasperation...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Evening all
Lovely day here today so have made the most of it by being in the garden. Kids been out loads too and we openned up the sandpit - which is huge for the first time this year.
I remember now thought why I am rubbish at flying in spring and summer (I am not listening to you all saying you are rubbish in winter too) When the weather is good, I so love to garden and the house just gets well left.
Place seems quite trashed already.
DS3's eye is not black at all and have managed to convince him to keep the steristrip on, not sure how long for though.
Need to find my list to see what I have to carry on to next week. Sunday night is ironing night for me and there is 2 hours of tv I want to watch to it should be ok.

hello
you don't know how much your posts have made me laugh (especially tia's) and kept me sane. thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. i ended up going to bed early last night or i'd have killed him. i don't know if he read posts on here or just realised what a general prat he was:rotfl: , anyway, he's agreed it's the last time the dogs stay here....ever! children will still go to my mums and his parents will stay at our house with the dogs. my mum said she'll have the dog and cat again but this is the last time!!! when we were out earlier inlaws even made their dogs chase a cat....mad! i honestly don't mind them staying but not the dogs!!!
re fleas: we went to visit them at the caravan today and i took some frontline and showed them how easy it was to use. i've sprayed my house.
now for the sad news :rotfl: my oh and children have gone to stay in the caravan for two days but it was decided i shouldn't go because my broken wrist still means i don't sleep that well. the bed i'd have is tiny so this external fixature would keep catching and hurt me. do you realise this means i have until tuesday on my own. oh how will i cope. dd has tubing on tuesday and then they might all be going back for another two days.
so, bottle of wine open, television on, cat on knee and computer next to me. anyone for a glass of wine?
thanks again for your support xxxxxxx0 -
Mudbath, you crafty sod! Oh and good on your partner for coming to his senses! Wish we had 'cat friendly' dogs, would have looked after your moggy for you while you are away. I couldn't even consider having to part with a pet permenantly if I went away so know how you are feeling. I remember someone suggesting it when we were struggling with tenancy issues and pets, bah, not a hope that I was parting with any of them!
nicki, well done!
soappie, that is awful, what a situation for the family to have to deal with. I remember when an old school friend of mine (She was 24) had cancer, rumour went round she'd passed away 3 weeks before she did, was awful for their family as people sent sympathy cards etc.
Not doing too bad, children accepted bribe to help, mainly DS1 actually who's not usually helpful but very money motivated, DS2 I think he's feeling too sorry for himself with this cold to be bothered. Just dragged the bathroom mats (white with yellow spots, ewww!) and the material part of the washing basket down to be washed ready for the royal visit lol. I've cleaned all the poopers up from the garden, some rubbish which has blowing into the garden, emptied out some dead plants, bin weighs a tonne now.
Just eaten some cereals as DP has text and from the times he's given me he won't be back until at least 9pm so thought may aswell feed myself now and just fancied museli. Going to bath the boys now as we're running a little late because I was going off the time on the alarm clock which is on yesterdays times...One day I might be more organised...........
