I thought you weren't able to buy gift cards with Boots points (gift cards, stamps, infant milk under 6 months) or have I just plain go this wrong??

Thats simply amazing! I've become a bit obsessed with collecting points. I collect them then can't bring myself to spend them LOL.

Yes, I think the word obsessed sums it up!! She is known as a bit of a shopoholic all round, and she loves a bargain. Haven't got a clue what she will end up spending it all on. I think she was originally collecting for a cmplete set of kitchen stuff, but our Boots doesn't do that sort of thing any more.

    Hi

Just to say for anyone who is interested, I was in Boots, Braehead tonight and they have loads of Intuition Razors with the £3 off voucher attached.

I was a bit naughty and removed the vouchers before I got to the cashdesk and then used them to pay for the razors - total cash paid 28p + I got a £5 skincare voucher! ;)

I wasnt as lucky as you tonight in Braehead. Got BOGOF from machine. SA checked them at till and confirmed they were BOGOF but maybe offer was ending tonight as shelf was not marked. Goto checkout with

    2x Intuition Razors, @ £3.14 each
    2x Intuition blades (6 pack). @ 3.14 each
    pack No7 wipes @ 6.00
    deo @ 1.18

also have £5 voucher and 2 £3.00 off vouchers for razors.

SA asks for almost £30. Go through receipt and tells me that 6 pack blades are £12.30. each. Razors are £6.29 each. and she can only use one £3.00 voucher.
By this point queue is getting bigger and angrier :(, so I say I will take 3 pack blades. She cancels sale and starts again, still overpriced. Gets supervisor who does it in two lots.
Finally I leave (with embarrassed daughter) having paid for

    Intuition razor 2@ 3.14 each
    No7 @ 1.00 (with voucher)
    Deo @ 1.18
    Total £8.46
    less £3.00 voucher
    Pay £5.46.

    Intuition blades (3 pack) 2 @ 3.14 each
    Total £6.28
    less £3.00 voucher
    Pay £3.28
    Overall total £8.74

By my reckoning I have been overcharged £6.00. This happens frequently in Boots Braehead, but I dont have another closer with a AC machine or I would not use it.
Sorry for the long rant. (was just so pi**ed off when I came back and checked the offer on here). :(:(

What do you lot do with all the multiples of things you buy in order to get these points? I was thinking particularly of ben500 above who has now got himself:

42 x Glitter Babes Sugar Plum Spritz Glitz Body Spray
    10 x Ruby & Millie Eye Smudge
2 x Ruby & Millie Eye Liner Brush

A lot of stuff admittedly for the £20ish he has actually paid (after points) - but surely only a bargain if you have an outlet for the items and you are going to get back a lot more than the £20 you have paid?
    - Oh and something you need to buy anyway that you can spend your £70 points on in Boots.

i use multiples as presents or in shoeboxes for romania at christmas or to make packs for church to sell at coffee mornings - the giftbags that they paid us to take were great for this!

I can totally understand why people do it if things are free, or virtually free - it's just when people pay out good money for something they don't want/need just because of a good points offer.
I'm not critising people for doing it if it is what they like to do - I just wondered if they had a good outlet for these things - or whether they were just getting addicted to the points-hunting?
