I totally love this thread. Whilst I try really hard in dificult circumstances to be organised it really goes against my nature sometimes. I have a cleaner who "encourages" me to be organised but scratch the surface:eek: I only posted on OS daily yesterday that I dare not open too many wardrobes/ drawers. My DS3 (13) is wearing pants for an 8 year old and my 5ft 9 inch DS2 (15) has definitely outgrown his 12 year old PJs. The thing is sorting drawers means that I have to go out and buy new clothes and its so much hassle. I guess i have to bite the bullett and just do it. And dont get me started on christmas.....Im being positively slovernly this year and have not done anything so far much to everyones consternation. What will happen on Christmas Eve...do you think I will get my act together? Seriously worried about that one....even my cleaner keeps asking me if Ive gotten organised..eehhhh...NOOOOOOOO. Life is just too hard...too complicated and we can only do what we can do.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Hi and thanks Mags_cat and Ampersand, not quite sure what you wrote about sending it to another thread but as far as i am concerned if i type it on here it can get sent wherever, as long as it isn't the cupboard under my stairs! Last time i opened the door half of the very full contents fell out and had to be put back in carefully... only i couldn't shut the door properly so i cheated and leaned the fireguard against it as i can't use the gas fire with it and had to move it anyway... and on the basis i wont need to move it back in front of the fire till march-ish i have a 5 month reprieve before i have to tackle it!

Saw this video on youtube about procrastination and thought some may be able to relate to it like I do.

That's me, that is!!! :rotfl:
Oh - and I'd LOVE to get a cleaning company in (like my neighbour!) but i'm embarrassed and would have to clean & clear the entire house before I let anyone in. So that'll be never then!0 -
:rotfl:love this thread! I moan at my OH for being untidy.........then realise that actually the mess is mostly mine. He has the good grace to make a face and not say too much else when he sees that I've finally joined up the dots
I'm with the non ironers! I have been known to do a quick fix on shirts with straightening irons rather than get the iron outOccasionally OH tries to wind me up about not ironing his shirts (he's not really serious just thinks it's funny!) I'm sticking to the line that as I'm not his wife I don't have to iron his shirts.....if he erver gets round to asking me to marry him I'm in trouble!
In January I found a chipolata in my handbag........I'd bought a pack of cooked ones to eat between meetings and one must have escaped, that was in the middle of december. I have a big bag, what else can I say

im with the non-ironers too ....we should start a club , if it too crumpled into the dryer for a few mins with a dryer sheet ............does the trick
have to say though my house is clean ,regularly do the oven ,kitchen cupards and windows ,will tidy most every day , and do dishes ,wiping , brush and mop every other day , do get bouts where im sore and exhausted and it might pile up though ,were all human
the trouble i have is too much stuff ,recently moved 2 houses into one and have nowhere for anything ,i have the entire contents of a craft room on my breakfast bar in the kitchen, large stashes of stuff to ebay , toys hidden for the kids for xmas , homebrew barrel and bottles here and there , clothes stuffed in every press, stuff bought for my wedding down the side of the fridge ,and theres still stuff in my boot to sort out , car parts in a basket in the kitchen cos the littleout house is full, dd2 has just moved in too , her clothes are in a suitcase in my room till i find a place for them, have asked for some wardrobe on freecycle , and theres still a van load of more car bits , tools and more craft stuff to come from the other house in a weeks time:eek::eek::eek::eek:
were planning on moving in the spring , need a garage , shed and another bedroom, and possible a small study for a craft room
but until then i dont know what im goona do with the stuff
do you think if i closed my eyes and make a wish it will go away0 -

Can't be bothered to unpick it so am wearing it and telling everyone it is the design :rotfl:
This sooooo made me laugh!
I'm having cereal for my lunch. No chance I'm going out to the supermarket cos I've changed my mind as I've been there already today and it was hell! It reminds me of 'me' though, very much so!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
