I had a post office card through the letterbox today.

I drove to the sorting office (about 5 miles each way) to collect the parcel.

It contained...a single specialist energy saving lightbulb.

Epic fail on so many levels...

I have found that I am spectacularly good and being really busy, doing things that avoid the ummm housework. For example a couple of weeks ago I made some sloe and apple jelly, turned out beautifully. Laundry basket untouched of course...and now I have made the jelly I have absolutely no idea what I am going to do with it as its meant to complement game...which I don't eat.....procrastination at its best lol

Laundry basket still mostly untouched and overflowing....

I spent £606 repairing our second car.

My fish bowl needs its weekly clean and I haven't done it yet.

I have an exam soon so I'm finding myself saying I can't do anything because I'm too busy studying.

  • Forgive me if I have mentioned this before but I forget what I have said on which threads sometimes.

I'm very OS, make all my own wine, grow a lot of veg, use freecycle, make do and mend, recycle etc etc but as I work full time +, I occasionally pay a friend to do some housework for me. I acknowledge I am not superwoman and sometimes I want my time off to be spent doing things I enjoy rather than things I do not.

Forgive me, Kim and Aggie....for I have sinned.

I used a *gasp* proprietry product to clear my slow draining bath for I had no borax, salt OR white vinegar in the house...

(Well...I had some Maldon salt flakes but I ain't shoving them down the plughole!!)

    And it worked...

  • I love this thread! 42 pages of people confessing that they're just like me!

My cooker is filthy, the washing mahine is rewashing a load that's been sat in there for 3 days, there is greasy water in the sink full of tupperwares, the bed hasn't been changed for about 3 weeks, and I'm sat here drinking a cup of tea and browsing MSE.

I own 2 Irons but haven't ironed anything for over a year.
Me moved here 6 months ago and I haven't cleaned the oven yet.
There was a sausage behind my kitchen door for over a week (according to OH, I couldn't see it)

I wrote a really long list but deleted it because it was embarassing!
