Money For Nothing Challenge!!

Hi everyone
Some of you may remember that I did this challenge over a year ago. I didn't manage to finish it (due to illness) and was thinking of ways to get the money I need for my flat (minimum £1,000), so thought that I would try again
.
Basically, I need to make £1,024 from nothing!! I do this by making £1 and then trying to find ways to double this every week. Here are my targets, I need to make the amounts below by the dates stated:
29th March - £1
5th April - £2
12th April - £4
19th April - £8
26th April - £16
3rd May - £32
10th May - £64
17th May - £128
24th May - £256
31st May - £512
7th June - £1,024
So, hopefully in 3 months time, I will have just over £1,000 in my hand which I created from nothing and I can go and get my flat
.
I'm not going to count money that I have earnt, but try and sell free things or prizes (not anything that I already own or have bought myself), maybe finding money on the street etc etc and when I have got a start, I can buy something else or use the money in a another way to make my next target.
Going to try and get my first £1 from selling some free sim cards I got a while ago. Will stick them on Ebay and obviously minus any fees once they sell. Off to scour the freebies forum to see if there is anything else there that I could get and sell on.
Will keep posting my progress on here

I always walk looking at the ground...there are several benefits
1, not stepping in dog poo
2, not tripping over loose paving stones
3, finding money i the street
4, not stepping on drunks in street from previous night!
Good luck with your challenge!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Sounds like good fun...how far did you get last year?
It will make very interesting reading...good luck x x0 -
Does anyone else remember the story of the American Kyle MacDonald who traded one red paperclip for a house back in 2005? Well, not in one exchange but he started with the paperclip and gradually traded up till he got the house.0

I can't actually remember how far I got to be honest.

You could maybe start by buying a 1pence flight from Ryan Air and flogging it on Ebay lol.0

Thanks for that - I will print it off at work on Tuesday and go to Debenhams in my lunchtime.
I've sold a few free samples on Ebay before (about 20-30) and seem to remember getting at least a fiver for them.
Will look around my room as I'm sure there are loads of free samples lying around.

Hooray! :j - welcome.
Hope you find that pound today. My mum is taking me out for Sunday lunch so I will look around the bar area of the pub as I find that a lot of people just leave loose change on the bar or by the fruit machines
