  • Morning everyone, well another fine grey day in lancs this morning. Have no plans as such other than tidying etc. I can sympathise with you both karen and notanothergreyhair about the melon, i think they have been shipping them round the country as we to have had the same experience.I can feel a full breakie coming on.

Now you know why those melons were cheap. The supermarkets were probably paid to take them away...

I know.........I love honeydew melon and was feeling very self-righteous having a load for breakfast! It tastes a bit 'musty' , it is lovely and ripe but doesn't taste right. Might as well throw the rest away.

  • Oops, forgot to say sorry you are still going through it Bunny. It always happens like that i used to get all three of mine, OH etc going through it and if i was rough- there was never any time for me! But we soldier on, and you will forget it all except for random conversations in the future and you have a great bunch of rhyming momentos of the occasion.

  • Hi Ellidee, nope not feeling any better really. Had a bit of a rough time last night and just went to sleep on couch with a hot water bottle. Woke up and couldn't get back to sleep, came on here for a bit and then read a book till about three o clock. Made a bit of a decision yesterday, i have decided to give up supply teaching and look for something else. I hate going into schools feeling like s*** and having to put up with rude little dudes, i have enough on my plate.I know i was ill the other day, and i am no wilting angel, but christ almighty - they were like 33 little savages. I was stood there after it had taken me the best part of the afternoon to calm them down thinking that they can't pay me enough to do this. I felt like lion tamer not a teacher.
I had to laugh though as one child had F'd and jeffed all over his work and miss spelled it all, i felt like correcting it but would have been told off myself!
I tried to talk to the head about the class at the end of the day - but she didn't want to know, so i suppose that is it, the moment has been reached-change of jobs.
