I've got a Miele too. It's the Rolls Royce of washing machines!0

I have a Zanussi , bought it about 6yrs ago, and apart from the concrete in the drum breaking in the 1st 6weeks , its been fine, touch wood. My last Zanussi i had was given to me by my sister, she`d had it over 10yrs, plus the 10yrs i had it, it was well worth the money she payed for it.
Next time though i`ll go for a Bosch
Would`nt touch Servis with a bargepole, once had a twin tub and it was nothing but trouble - i smashed it up in the garden when we bought another washer - all my pent up fury just let go!lol0 -
My dh fixes washing machines as part of his job, and wouldn't let me buy anything with a digital display as he said when they go wrong, one component on the control panel can often cost more than replacing the whole control panel.
I'd second that - digital displays are a pain in the a***! If it stops working you can be left with clothes and water still in the machine and you can't make it drain. On the old fashioned machines with a dial, if it there's a problem you can usually turn it to the drain setting and get your clothes out easier. I've had my Hotpoint machine for 7 years but it gets a major repair at least once a year (usually the digital display). It's the only product I pay an extended warranty for because I know it's guaranteed to break down and the repairs cost more than the warranty! I wouldn't buy one again - it rattles terribly and I've been expecting to die for about 3 years.0 -
My servis has been going strong for 7 years and has only just started playing up.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

I'm so glad you posted on OS, BusyGirl as I visit this forum every day. Also thanks to all those who replied. Last night my WM tripped the main fuse box, so I need to replace it. You've just saved me a lot of research
.
I've read through all the replies and it looks like Bosch is ahead of the field for the less expensive machines, so Bosch it is (to match my fridge freezer, chest freezer and dishwasher, though sadly not the WM or the TD, both Hotpoint and both markedly inferior to previous Hotpoint machines.0 -

OMG that's some rattle!
Mind you, a year or so ago my Hotpoint made some terribly loud bangs. A coin had got caught in the coin trap and the machine had flung it about, denting the drum and the sides of the machine, don't know how it is possible given the thickness of the drum but that's what the repairman said. the machine finally expired last night, turning the lights out as it went, very eco friendly. I thought it was a power cut and it was an hour before I thought to check the circuit breaker

I bought a LG last year - no problems so far - my first Electrolux lasted me for 14 years and was on every day at least once.Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j0

OMG that's some rattle!
To be honest, it's been a noisy piece of cr*p from day one! I live in a flat and I don't want to disturb my neighbour downstairs so if I hear him go out, I put the washing machine on. Sometimes he comes back before it's finished and he's never complained, but I don't want to take the p so I avoid it if possible. 0 -
I have a Hotpoint Washer Dryer, its always going wrong but when it ultimately dies a death I think I'll get a Bosch, more pricey and not as asthetically pleasing i don't always think but supposed to be more indestructible.
My friend loves her Miele.
Has anyone had a Dyson one - they look so cool.[size=-2]Remember its nice to be nice and its good to share!

I was reading up and dyson are meant to last 20 years and be one of the best, and most expensive but apparently theyve stopped selling themWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0
