Hello

I'm creating a website which is now complete. I've Adobe Flash Player installed and when I try to publish the files to the site it says 'You need to install Flash Plug-in in order to view Flash content on this website'.

I click to install it, then it says successful, then it tells me the same thing again to install Flash Plug-in?? I'm using Internet Explorer. Anyone got any advice?

Sometimes Flash gets 'mixed' up. Adobe do a Flash uninstaller program, download and run this, then reload the latest version.

Not recommended, use Adobe's proper uninstallation program, to ensure a clean de install to remove the problem files. Also earlier versions don't appear in the list.

I've done this but still having the same problem :( I'm not sure where the Flash Player has downloaded too, just said installation completed on the Adobe website. Strange as it usually says where to save it too, its not in program files or anywhere??

Have a look at this earlier thread and try that method.

  • If you are using IE7, there is one other thing to check.

Go to Tools/Manage Add-ons/EnableDisable Addons and ensure that the Shockwave Flash Object is enabled.

Just after checking that and the Shockwave Flash Object was enabled. Really not sure what to try next??

Oh right, so flash doesn't work in Internet Explorer? Maybe I need to get Firefox then?
