Thanks for joining the forum Writers Share :cool2: it's really good to see you! I kept checking back to see if WS website was up and running again but so far there's nothing.
I was beginning to think WS was dead/was no more/was an ex-Writers Sharebut just seeing your posts has made my day :T

For those who can't access the Writers:Share website, try this link

Hope it works ok. I got it from the drop-down when I typed in the writers share address. The main address didn't work - I just got the word "info".
There's nothing to comment on yet, hopefully there will be very soon. But it's good just looking at the website again.
Welcome to the forum Writers:Share. Hope you're up and running again very soon.Don't wait for the storm to pass

Welcome Writers:Share, I'm sure you're presence in here will only do you good.
But can you clear up something ? If comments are rejected then you will not uses them on any site and the writer is free to do with them what they will, you have no claim over the rejected comments at all?
Am I right?0 -
Great to have an update, thank you.

We are keen to accept all comments that comes through.
However the typical reasons why we reject comments are:
1) They are copied in part or in full ( We have automatic checks to make sure)
2) Those of comment are is poor English - Will be rejected - obviously.
3) Short comments.
4) Comments written with $(*&£$ foul language!
In that respect, you are welcome to do what you like with the rejected comments but we'd like to think there is little value for comments listed above.
Hope this helps!
Thanks, this helps a lot.0 -
Writers:Share; are there any updates on the site's re-opening or are we sitll looking at a Sunday re-opening day?
Also, once the site has re-opened and we have been paid for the comments that have already been accepted, when is it likely we will recieve payment for the comments we haven't had acceptance e-mails for?
This time, will the comments be approved throughout the week or the topics closed on a Friday and them all approved on the Friday?
Thanks.0 -
hi writers:share
This may sound like the stupidest question ever but I have to ask!
When you mention that you automatically check for comments being copied i'd assume that you mean copying other peoples work? it is okay to type up your comments in word (so you can make sure they are long enough using word count!) and copy them from there to writers:Share?
just wanna say its fab that you guys are back!Aug £10 a day £0/£10000 -

There is no such thing as a stupid question.
I am certain they mean copied from other people work, not copied from word.
You question does bring up another point. Several people have said they had comments rejected for being copied when they say the comments were all there own words.
I would like to know how Writer:Share determine if a comment is copied or not.
If they know it is copied then, in the email, they should say where they know the comment was copied from. If they've taken the trouble to search the Internet then it can't be much more work to include a link.
I'm not trying to get round the no copy rules, but I think if you have found proof a comment was copied then the least you can do is show the commenter this proof.
I believe everyone should be presumed innocent until proven guilty. If you have this proof then show it to the commenter, it will stop them posting on here that you rejected their comments because they were copied and them claiming it wasn't. It will also give the innocent a chance to dispute your proof they are guilty.
More importantly, it will give the commenter's a chance to see how reliable your procedure is, and help you improve it.0 -
Hi,
Yes, you can copy your comment from Word.
Try the new form on the homepage footer (Want your Stats -> Get my Stats)
You'll receive an email with your approved comments, your rejected comments and how much you'll earn.
If you have some requests of ideas, please let me know, i'm the WS technician.
