It has died. I never signed up as I'm just reading this post now.

Site was only registered on 15th March this year by a Matthew Roberts (never a good sign when a site goes up and down so quickly). He has said it is a non-trading site so whois is able to hide his address. It is hosted by fasthosts so you could contact them about this. I doubt they can do anything but put some pressure onto him if you can.

Where did you get this information from masterkay?

Isn't Matthew Roberts the guy from digivate from who we recieved some payments from?

I've no idea who Matthew Roberts is or what digivate is so I'm not sure about that.

I just did a simple whois check on the domain name. You can reverse IP check it as well to see what other sites are hosted on the same server to see if there are any other scam sites linked to it (note I'm not sure if you can do that for free). If is he is on some shared hosting program some innocent sites will share the same IP address but worth a look to see if anything jumps out.

I had a look at a digivate website, not sure if it is the one you are talking about but full address details and phone number are listed for that site. Not sure if they are correct either.

I asked for a volunteer yesterday to phone Matthew but there was no takers.

I am unable to do so at present, however I did send him this note a moment ago.

Terribly sorry to trouble you, but I was wondering if you knew what was happening with the Writersshare website.

There is a large thread dedicated to it on Money Saving Expert. com and there is a large number of members who adore the writersshare concept wondering whats happening. In fact there is over 40 pages of it at the moment, speculating why the site is currently offline.

Any information would be greatly received and Im sure the members of MSE would love to have a representative from the site leave a post.

I tried the phone number and sure enough it works and goes direct to Matt, but I was switched to answer phone, unfortunatly I have to go out in a moment, so if anyone else would like to try the number later on today?

Hi all ...

None of us know what is happening, but let me speculate this far - if Matt Roberts has founded an initiative which has merit - but - finds he cannot run it properly - then it reflects badly on him, but imho also reflects badly on Digivate - the more so if you read their website.

So ... I have made contact with the PR contact for Digivate - and sent them a link to this Thread. I am hoping that may lead to some communication about what has happened, how it can be resolved, and what future may or may not exist for Writers:Share.

I will report back ...

I have too tried to ring the number provided by S1976 but it goes through to his answering machine.

I left a message informing him of this particular thread and asking him if he would kindly provide us all with some information about what is happening with the website through here or the Facebook site.

Also, from usuing who.is, it says that the website is currently active and is registred until 2010. I don't know if that means anything though.
