i had 9 accepted but got paid for 8 but not complaining

The same thing happened to me last week - I'd had 16 comments accepted, but only got paid for 15. I sent them an email, and they got back to me during the week saying they weren't sure what had happened, and would pay me the extra £1, which they did. It might be worth an email to them.

Am extremely jealous, got told on 9th 5 out of 6 had been accepted but no payment as yet, I live in hope though as payments seem to be trickling through. £72.50, well done! That's great, I wish they would open the site again too!

I figured out what they are doing with our comments.

They are using them as posts in their own blogs and getting paid for inserting a text link advert into the post.

Back tracking through the process I have found they are paying people up to $2.90 per post in a blog. The post must contain a text link to one of their advertisers.

This means their advertisers must be paying them more than $2.90 for the link. They are getting us to write the posts, as comments, then putting our comments in their own blog and getting paid for them.

During my search I also found sites that pay £5 or $10 just for putting a text link into a post in your blog. It's possible that they are buying our comments for $2, putting them into their own blog and getting $10 for it.

Not that I'm knocking this, it's free enterprise. But when someone buys something off me them sells it to someone else for more money, I try to find that person and cut out the middle man.

I strongly recommend anyone with a blog to search out these sites. You may end up getting paid $5 or $10 per post (comment) and leave more comments free on writersshare for those who don't have blogs.

Do a google search for "paid to blog" or "paid to post" or any other phrase that may bring results.

There are sites out there that are paying $5, $10 and even $20 for your comments.

All you need is a good blog!

Don't worry too much, I have no doubt the site is honest, and if they use your comments you will get paid. They just can't cope with all the people from MSE.

Was the first time I tried it, so right now am of the "nothing ventured, nothing gained" stance, and it sure beats the heck out of the dance room on STP!
