From their site: "We’re going to use the original comments you provide on websites that need content to engage visitors with and market themselves. For more details, see our Terms and Conditions."

    Not overly informative.

I see, very clever. So what they have are generic websites which will come up on searches as all their generic sites are the highly prized ones like money sites, clothes sites that are going to be full of paid links but actually give no value to the searcher.

The contributers to the site will aid these generic sites make lots of money. A pretty good idea, but I am an INTERNET purist and get enraged by all those useless link sites on top of the searches.

It depends what you are searching for. If you want to buy clothes these sites are very useful.

They are only useless if they don't contain a link to a site that is useful to you.

I think its a great way for them to make money, it means websites without content will get some and writers who wouldnt otherwise get published on the net will get stuff online, allbeit without knowing where its going.

I typed my comment in notepad first, and saved it. In a few weeks I'll google for it and see if I find it.

The only reason they want these comments is to get into search engines, so I'll see if it works and where my comment ends up. Hopefully.

Because of the amount of text they want, I think they will be used as posts in a blog, or comments to a post in a blog. This will be to provide content and give the illusion the blog has a lot of visitors.

Bet you a fiver the blog has a lot of ways to earn the blogger money on it too.

Actually, saving the comments in notepad and googling from them later, to see where they went, wasn't the original reason for saving them.

I originally did it so that if they said they couldn't use my comment, and didn't pay me, I could check if they had actually used it. Using it to find ones I'd been paid for was just an after thought.

Thanks for this! have just left my first comment so we will see if they use it. I could do with earning a few extra pennies being on maternity leave and this sounds like a good way to do it (as long as my comments get published of course!) Think i will do another one and wait and see if i get paid for them before doing anymore.

Yep, I think everyone is doing the same. No point in posting loads until you know they pay.
