I agree it has been appalling, moneymaking mum - but of the 30 writers who are currently on board I bet not one would complain about the current system. As far as I am aware the old system is no more and the new system will be reliable from now on! Let's hope so anyway!

Have no complaints at all with the new sysyem. But am desperate for more topics

where did the get the 30 writers from and how did they pick them??? i used to use writers share and just assumed from here that it was dead!!

As far as I am aware, they picked their top 30 writers from all the people they had writing for them up until the site went into meltdown. I guess that means that anyone who had submitted was considered. I don't know whether being rated in the top 30 is about style, numbers of accepted comments, number of rejections, length of comments, or what, but somehow they decided from the work they had, which people they wanted to use for the pilot. I feel pleased I was one of them, but I understand that in time it will become an open opportunity again, so keep checking the thread! HTH

The 30 writers we chose were those with the highest number of accepted comments. We didnt look at any other factors because we felt that was the fairest way to choose. I promise we're not dead though.

As Sinderella pointed out, we've stopped using the site and opening topics to the general public while we make alterations to the system to prevent a recurrence of old problems. However, during that time we still needed comments for smaller projects so we approached a small group of writers to fill those needs.

I just popped over to see if there were any more postings on WS and see that indeed there are! Whatever happened to the email notification I've selected for this thread, hmm?

Anyway, I see that WS are using writers from prior to the 'meltdown' and selected only those who had written comments and had them accepted. I just checked and I wrote 20 articles and had them all accepted.

Feel quite neglected now!

I just wanted to post to say I'm one of the lucky 30 too, and I've been so impressed with Juliette. She replies very promptly to all emails, sends out really clear instructions and I have been paid quickly. I'd like to say to anyone with any doubts about WS that they are definitely genuine. Well done, Juliette for all your hard work!

I agree entirely with the above comments. Juliette is excellent and I love writing comments when they are available.

I'll forth that, it is working very smoothly!

Unlucky for me though I missed the last batch of topics as I was at work. By the time I got home and checked my email they had all closed.

Maybe I'd better stay home next week just in case.
