  • I've just had a look at their Facebook page - same story as here, really, people wondering when there will be new topics/when their comments will be approved or rejected/when they will get paid.

And seemingly no new updates from WS themselves. Oh dear.

Last discussion board update (not by WS) on 20th June, last wall posts on 10th (normal wall) and 28th (advanced wall).

Now I've wasted time on Facebook instead of working, I'm off to find snacks :)
    £5 a day in December £179.59/£155
    £100 on STP by 31 January 09 £2.03/£100

I just sent an email via their form, but it only served to reinforce my belief that the site is run but a 14 year old lad.

What you get after hitting the submit button is this

Results: Yeah, baby, you did it! or Woo-hoo, you sent an email!
  • We would like to firstly apologisethat things have taken longer to sort out than what we anticipated at the beginning. After working very hard on clearing backlogs of comments, rejected and approved, as well as the payments, we have finally got to the stage where we are ready like to move forward with Writers:Share and start posting new topics.

We have had to deal with lots of payment issues that have plagued our first launch and since then, we have managed to meet the requests of many writers who have had delays in their payment. We have since paid everyone who has submitted a dispute request with us.

Whilst we recognise that there is still a minority that has not received payment, we need to move on and start writing new topics. For the benefit of the rest of the community, we intend to start fresh with a clean payment database and offer new topics for everyone to write and earn for.

Thank you to all you writers out there that have believed in Writers:Share. We’re looking forward to get starting on posting new topics for you guys to comment on.

so what does that actually mean WS? PErhaps you could answer the following three questions for me?

    1) WHEN will new topics be up?
    2) WHY should we believe people will get their money this time
    3) WILL the minority who havent been paid receive their money?

I want to believe in you - because it sounds like a site that is right up my street, but I'm sure you can appreciate peoples fears of using the site after this recent debacle?

I agree with the above post. Was really interested in this idea when I first read it until I got to the pages about the 'downfall'.
It's a nice idea because you give money to charity as well and I'd really like to give it a go but I'm not going to waste time if we won't get any money.

And this means what -- that this 'minority' will not be paid? Please clarify.

With respect, you are thanking writers that are too hard up to feel comfortable challenging the way you have treated them -- and that is atrocious to be frank. I don't think there's a writer here who in their heart hasn't felt at some point in this debacle that you are out to rip them off.

I won't be working for you again. I'm just really sorry that other writers here and on Facebook might not have that choice.

    For the attention of Writers:Share

I am one of the minority who haven't yet been paid. I have not yet filed a dispute request as I am not certain how many of the comments I submitted have been accepted. It may possibly be 10, as I received acceptance emails for 4, and was then told here that my other comments had been wrongly rejected (I had received rejections for 6).

I would like the following issues clarified:

1: Will I receive payment, and if so, when?
2: If I do not receive payment, what assurance do I have that Writers:Share will not use my comments?
3: What assurance do we have that the site will run smoothly from now on, and that payments will be made promptly?
4: Will the acceptance rate of 80% still stand?

You may be certain that, if I do not receive payment for my comments, I will most certainly NOT be contributing again. Your thanks for our belief in WS are sounding a little hollow when our patience has been pushed beyond what may reasonably be expected.

ALSO FOR THE ATTENTION OF WRITERS:SHARE

I am also still waiting for £7 although I have not yet filed a dispute. I had 29 comments accepted and only been paid £22.

I would like to think that all is being sorted out but I think the lack of regular updates may have damaged your reputation with a lot of the forum members.
