I have just had an email from writers:share. It was a rejection, but it is the first time I've had a comment rejected and hopefully there will be some more acceptance emails arriving soon.
I am glad they reproduce the comment in the rejection email so I know which one it is and I can post it elsewhere.I love finding more ways of making money that cost me little or nothing0 -
AARRHHH!
sorry, i am having a bit of a rant, i have received 2v oopps emails from WS, they have rejected 2 of my 20 awaiting moderation and the reasons were - too short and not my own words, well
both were long enough at 209 words and 230 words, it also happens that because of the topic my answers were very personal and about my daughters!! so they were in no way not my own!!!
i am starting to think that because of the volume they are just rejecting so they dont have to pay, i know some people have been paid and thank goodness.
If they were too short or copied then that is of course fine but they were not.
sorry for the ranttotal -nov07 [strike]£25,526[/strike] jan08 [strike]£23,246[/strike] May08 [STRIKE]£21,171[/STRIKE] June 08 £20,9640 -
I think the acceptance and rejection emails are generic and not very specific for the individual. I too have had a rejection and like yours mine was neither too short nor copied, but as we do not know the Writers Share criteria for acceptance or rejection there is unfortunately very little we can do. Hopefull you will have better luck with your other comments.0

I've just had the same email - it might only be a £1 comment, but I find it rather insulting. I don't plagiarise, and I always check the word count! If WS don't want to accept a comment, why not just say so!
Another bit of goodwill goes down the drain ...
*Edit* - just had another one - I would like to know what the 'problem' is with these comments. Probably just offloading some of the backlog ...0 -
they're basically saying the comment wasn't good enough. but it's a generic reply, regardless of the actual reason.
i got an acceptance today. woo.

sorry, but i will have to disagree, i received a rejection when i first started and it was too short and the rejection said so and that was fair enough
This rejection stated that it was for 2 reasons, and as for you saying it wasn't good enough, well although we do not know exactly what the want, it was probably the best i have written and they accepted worse that were done on the same day by myself.total -nov07 [strike]£25,526[/strike] jan08 [strike]£23,246[/strike] May08 [STRIKE]£21,171[/STRIKE] June 08 £20,9640 -
What the email actuall says is "The two main problems we have with comments " It does not refer to your comment but comments in general. Mine was also neither too short nor was it copied but obviously they did not like the way it was worded or they had some other reason to reject it. If I get further rejections I will begin to think they are just rejecting the majority of the backlog, as none of my previous comments were ever rejected.I love finding more ways of making money that cost me little or nothing0

I must have upset someone. I've just received two rejections for the same comment!
Like others here the comment was long enough. And it was certainly my own words, but as the comment was about debt professionals there must be common words in many of the comments submitted.
Or perhaps they just preferred the other comments submitted. If it’s not important to you, don’t consume it0 -
1 accepted, seems a bit slow one by one though0

I've received three acceptances and one rejection today.0
