Hey Sweetpea, will you be anywhere near Barcelona?0

I randomly got paid 3rd June, paid from Digivate. Hope that helps with confidence, slow but steady.
It came with the following message attached on the Paypal payment:Here's your payment from Writers:Share. Apoligies for the delay in the payment. We are close to relauching with new topics and thank you for sticking with us!£2 Savers Club = £0
Loose Change = £0
 Ebay Challenge = £0 :cool:0 -
Have just posted up on Facebook again. Sigh. This is getting beyond a joke.0

So again we are left with silence by WS, nothing since the flurry of activity on 3.6. Have checked the site and Facebook but no further updates, neither have I received any acceptance/rejection emails since 3.6. I know they said they would be posting new topics next week but it is not looking very promising but I suppose time will tell.0

Nobody heard anything from Writers:Share still?
Hmm ... I cannot see any topics being bosted in the first half of this week, maybe not even payments come to that matter!0 -
Cmon folks, please can we all just take a chill. 65 pages of this thread and it all goes something like this:
Writershare seems like a good idea
They have been overwhelmed
Has anybody been paid
Has anybody heard from them
We are all hacked off with waiting
We get paid - eventually
The cycle just keeps going round and round.
Lets cut them a bit slack and look at this on face value. We are getting paid EVENTUALLY for work we have done. They are obviously genuine but crap at keeping in touch.
We just just hang back and let them get on with it, until such times as we are good to go. Personally I am due quite a bit of money from WS, but likewise I have also been paid on three seperate occasions from them too.
I reckon that one guy in a shed somewhere is probably reading 6000 comments as quick as he possibly can, and frantically sending out emails selling those comments somewhere.
So cmon folks, lets all just kick back and have a cigar until its sorted.
This rant is not aimed personally at anyone, if anything it supports everything that everyone is saying, we just dont need to keep going around the same circles.
I reckon if we cut out all the unique comments to this thread we would be left with about 10 pages.
Thanks for the rant, feel better now.0 -
You do have a point Andy, but I can't help thinking that if it wasn't for the moans and rants this thread would have died months ago.0

Sometimes it's good to have a moan, you can vent your frustration with your friends on here. Yes it is a bit repetitive but it's a way for all of us to keep up with current comings and goings as WS are rather inept at keeping us informed.I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

I'll never cut any lack of professionalism any slack, sorry. Writers get the short shrift much too often. We are treated with enough contempt as it is with poor pay rates and having to give up rights to our own work. When a company like this comes asking for great work from us, (for not much in return), then they need to treat us with a little more respect. W:S have failed in that, utterly. A post only takes a couple of minutes.
I would be mortified to have so many people hanging around waiting for a word from me, wouldn't you?
New writers need to know that this company (new or not, it's irrelevant) are extremely unreliable before they commit time and energy to it. The only way to do that is for those of us experienced with W:S to ensure this thread is kept alive. It's all about informed choice, after all.
And I truly believe that if there was some poor guy sitting in a shed somewhere reading comments, that at least ONE of us would be posting in the positive here. Law of averages and all that.
There: that's my rant over.0
