has anyone else noticed that our amount due has been set to 0 at the turn of the month? is this progress or not? im not quite sure... =/

Yes I've just asked for my stats too and the amount due is 0, it was £8 - so eagerly awaiting that email from PayPal (I have checked and it's not there yet)! I expect I will get an email soon from PayPal but it'll be because of a payment from Lightspeed which I'm expecting.

Here's hoping we'll all be paid sooner rather than later! laughing-smiley-014.giflaughing-smiley-014.gif

    How do I apply?

You don't apply. Just keep checking the Writers:Share site for new topics to comment on. Just click on the topic and there will be a form in which you enter your email address and add your comment, but this isn't working at the moment, as all the topics are closed..

You can give them your email address and they will send notifications when new topics are added - but as I said before there are no new topics at the moment. When it was working, you did get an email every day. But no emails at the moment, I'm afraid. Still no harm in signing up for them now.

    Go to this page
    http://www.writersshare.co.uk/get-commenting/

and on the top right, it says "Receive Our Updates" - enter your email address there. Hope this helps and hopefully it will be up and running soon.

  • Same here as regards monthly total now 0, I'll hope that means money on it's way, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Had a rejection letter too, quite a cheek really says it not all my own work, I'll just have to try harder to be original won't I but since talking about hydroponics leaves little room to avoid the standard phrases that could be just a tad difficult. Never mind at least somethings happenning.

My plan was to have a nice little stash of GBP to come home to, I might have to find a different tack.

Hello =] When did you receive the rejection e-mail? Was it today?

If so then it looks as though some work may be being done.

I wouldn't worry too much I think it's just a standard rejection email they send out saying there are two main reasons they reject comments:

"1. It's too short - comments need to be 150 words long.
    2. It's not unique - your comment must be all your own words!"

It does not particularly specify that your comment is not your own words. I think it's just a standard letter or, should I say, email. But make sure you do at least 150 words - they don't seem to want them short at all. I've been well over the 150-word limit and it's been accepted, especially on the topic of moving house. But they do seem to reject short comments. cool.gif

  • At least it shows there is some work going on at Writers:Share ... it's a start ... surely? :)
  • I'm just worried they are working as hard as me, that is doing precisely nothing reading through MSE instead of studying.

I get one day off a week from my employer because they are nice like that (yeah right) to study and all I do is phaff around on t'internet - little old law student me. Tell you what though ain't technology marvellous?

Now where did I put those books?

Hopefully this means that the folk at WS have started to go through the comments that have been sitting there and stagnating for a month now!
Hopefully this also means some money soon!

Well it may be good that people have had the amount due reduced to 0, but nobody has said they have been paid yet. So it could could just be part of the "automatic system" assuming last months dues were paid.

I know my bucks 4 banners account shows I've been paid days before I get paid. All it means is they system has made a list of people to pay, and how much. It still relies on humans to actually make the payments.

I wasn't due anything because the comments I made on 2 May still have not been moderated. I would like to know if anyone has had comments accepted or rejected recently, as this would indicate human activity.

Even better would be someone actually getting paid!
