To Everyone on BR and living with it a massive thank you:beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer:

You all have made me look at my situation with different eyes and I can honestly say i feel like I can do this without going BR.

yes it's going to be very hard, long hours, massive cutbacks and loads of will power, but having weighed this up to the alternatives of BR, buying BI out of 2 houses and having to explain my idiotic gambling to the OR and poss have a BRO I think this is the better option.

As you all know I have decided to buy a car and start up as a Taxi Driver.

I am now going to start a Diary of this from day one on the DFW board as I think there may be people on this particular forum needing more help than me.

Please keep a look out for it and say hi from time to time.

Once again thank you all to everyone, hopefully I wont be back on BR and living with it and good luck to all of those facing/living with BR.

Read the diary i've started on DFW, will update it with everything.:D I Go on the drivers training course on Monday so will choose the car once i see the difference in insurance and fuel consumption (see, a true DFW already:cool: )

Wishing you the best of luck. It shocks me how different taxi regulations are in different areas. Here there is no 'driver course' never even heard of that one before, if you want a new hackney plate here the taxi MUST have full wheel chair access etc etc and the release of plates is limited every year, if they release any at all. Cars with plates on don't come up for sale often and tend to have a high price tag. Shop around with insurance too, my partner was quoted just under £10k for his insurance so he's sticking with driving for another company, saves him having to pay for the tests, repairs etc aswell.

Same here re the hackneys, none being issued. Apparently "all demand is currently met".

If and when they do come up they are EXTORTIONATE.

Decided to go private hire for a start, need to act quickly to get some money coming in.......

Hi I just wanted to say your situation is complicaed I know as mine is also business related so complicated so I have every sympathy but there has to be some solution and would you be entitled to benefits especially with having a child you must be entitled to something. I know how distressing this is I havent even posted my stuff on here yet!!! but don't let this destroy you or make you do anything rash.
