Oh the form which I have to send to Scotland? Yes, I have that and am sending it off tomorrow :)
Yes I know the client is (not sure if I'm allowed to say on here though?) and I received my contract on Thurs, just have to find a decent solicitor in Belfast who can do it for a reasonable price, but I don't think that should be a problem - hopefully!! lol

I'm going to buy more RAM for my PC this week, but do you know if I have to take my PC to the shop to get it installed or is it simple enough to install myself?

    Aidan

Ram is pretty easy to install as long as your confident messing around inside your computer, you will need to find out what type of memory you need and then you just open up the case and providing that there is a spare slot you just pop it in otherwise you will have to replace the existing memory if that makes sense.

Hiya- it is best not to say who the client is on the forums. reference your solictor - you should not pay more than £5 to £15 -if you are quoted anymore than that then go somewhere else. I was originally quoted £10 for a solictor in Bangor, Co. down and when I went and she realised how little time it took she only charged me £5.

Oh really? That sounds very cheap, I wouldn't even mind paying the 15 as I wont have enough time to go round to different solicitors tomorrow. Cant wait to get it all sent away and have it over and done with lol

Well, to be honest, I don't really have a clue how to work the inside of a PC, but I'll give it my best shot and hope for the best lol it's my only option at the minute.

    Wish me luck! :D

    Cheers again though James

Just send back section one and keep your copy of the contract.
I'm in technical and I'm in week two of my training and we're starting nesting next wednesday.
I dont know if you'll be covering the same course material as us but it's excellent and really does cover everything you need to know.

As for the web conference, you may wish to go there prior to your meeting and test your browser first and if it wants to install anything then let it.

    Good Luck!

cheers Lauracal!!! right just waiting for the CRB, but did email Ellen and gave the bar code instead for now as adviced by Amy during my meeting the other day. I did explain to Ellen that I couldn't log into the session and she said not to worry because on the day there will be techie and supervisors to deal with any techie problems. Apparently those who don't send in the CRB on time get pulled out straight away!! dam that is harsh considering some of us have had to really move fast to get these papers in order!!

But so far all is well, and Yep Jay, its a waiting game now.

Specs , Carlos sounds like a fun guy, good luck to you and auddel, let us know how you get along. Any jitters just take some deep breaths!! lol!!! just think of the MONEY!!!! HAHHHAHAHAHA!!!!

For those of you starting training on the 26th, good luck toooo:T

You said that ones who don't have CRB in ontime get pulled out straight away -that has not happened in our group. there was quite a few who did not have them completed etc and they continued training and are in fact still training next week until their CRB's come through then they will go onto nesting- Perhaps Teletech are going to come down harder on the trainees in the next intake-but nothing happened to the ones on ours. Of course it is to your own benefit to get them in on time. If you do it online it only takes a couple of days for your statement to come out. I applied for mine at 6pm on a thursday night and got in on the tuesday morning.

To Auddell & Specsappeal just wanted to wish you all the best for your nesting!

Hope it all goes well and hopefully I will be joining you in the next month or so.

Keep us updated on how it's going!
  • I took my ID etc to the nearest solicitor in Belfast City Centre (closest to work, as I had to go on my lunch break), and she did everything for me, and when I asked how much it was she simply said "Awk dont worry about it, I'll do it for free". Was so chuffed as I was expecting to pay atleast 15 pounds lol :)
