In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. Erm, whilst people trying to be clever talking about areas having negative equity or not...
An area doesn't have negative equity. A person would be in a negative equity situation if they owed more on their mortgage than their house was worth. Nothing to do with areas.
I'd take the quote out of your sig neas, because, to quote someone else, it does make you look like a tit.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I cannot believe the smugness in this thread, it's an absolute joke."I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -

How funny is this thread - neas im not sure you know what your talking about!?! "areas of negative equity" all you are quoting is people not getting there asking prices anymore - that does not indicate house prices falling by that amount.0

If this guy was a decent friend of yours, then I can understand that you may voice your concerns to him during a discussion and then be a friend enough to let him make his own choices.
What I dont understand is why you are so obsessed about trying to convince a bunch of folk on the Internet that you know best for a guy at work? And then to say you want to feel smug when proven right is, quite frankly, disgusting.0
