    ...or a lifetime.

I don't expect my home to be worth 10x my income ever again (in my lifetime) so I'm selling. And it hurts 'cos I love my home.

George, I don't know why but I like you.....:D think it's the toner cartridge thing.:rotfl:

Neas, I wonder what his logic is in him buying a house and telling you to wait? I'm wondering how much of the deposit he contributed to and as he isn't in full time employment it seems his partner is the one who is going to come out of this the worst.

If he isn't earning why the hell did his OH put his name on the mortgage? The reason I ask is it seems he wants to make a quick buck and I'd be interested to know if his partner had plans on keeping the house for the long term.

who cares ? its his choice , its his partners choice, it makes diddly squat difference to the rest of our lives . They may be happy and they may have been saving for years to get a joint mortgage . they may feel it makes them more secure . they may know something you do not know.

how do people afford the houses though? in 1 years time? With all the 125%, 100% and even 95% mortgages down the swannie.. how do people pay for these overpriced houses?.

What about those who come off their Fixed rate and are forced to pay 20% more on their mortgage rates... because they cant remortgage due to negative equity? Guess... people will just buy their house for more then :P.

Only time will tell i guess :).

I doubt he's been saving for years as like the OP says he's only 20 and at uni.I wouldn't feel secure buying into negative equity and my fixed rate mortgage finishing.
