i could laugh but its not his fault... He is young and will be a victim of this HPI...

Although saying that he figured "hous prices can only go up". Hehe so i can be a little smug that he thought he a student could afford a house and it was wiser than renting. Nevermind.

You're making yourself out to sound like his jealous lover!! :rotfl: Something you'd like to tell us!?!

Leave the poor guy alone! For all you know, they'll live in it for 10 years, prices will climb again, and they'll make a killing. Or he'll land a £300k pa job and pay the mortgage off within the year. I don't have crystal balls either. or any balls for that matter.

Now go mind your own business!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

He's going to find out the hard-way sooner or later.

If you tell genius-university-boy the real facts, at least he may have a bit more time to prepare for what's coming to him. One of the biggest financial kickings you can imagine.

Did Uni-boy never even open a financial history book? Did he ever read a broadsheet newspaper in past 12 months? Did he take his property educations from Kirstie on day-time tv? Trouble with people today.. their so busy spunking money on stuff they don't need, or watching Eastenders... they have no idea of how things work now that reality is coming back.

    ...or a lifetime.

I don't expect my home to be worth 10x my income ever again (in my lifetime) so I'm selling. And it hurts 'cos I love my home.

Someone has way too much time on their hands.

Have you thought about getting a social life?

Yes, and a fiancee... thanks for asking though your concern is appreciated.

Ye of little knowldedge. It takes me 5 mins to check the rightmove listings via a daily email. Hardly 'too much time' wasted eh ol' chap.

As with most things... you can do them easier/faster with a little thought behind em :).

in one years time when people stop panic selling there houses.
Then there will be less houses on the market meaning the ones that are will become more popular which means the houses will cost more .

i dont think you should get involved in this lads descision to buy a home as its his home
