I too found Aqua customer service to be excellent, I had a lovely chat about Cardiff City and Welsh egg-chasing (Not that I understand the latter.). The card may be expensive, but it has proved an excellent step in re-building credit rating, and is not that much dearer than many MBNA cards now.

Wow i can't believe people are still moaning about the APR on these types of credit cards.

If you use the card sensibly then you can rebuild your credit rating whilst paying no interest.

That's exactly what I did and now I just keep it for the free fraud alert saving me the monthly fee with Experian.
    Best Regards,

Well lucky people, I have a Capital One card with a £500 limit, Vanquis or Aqua will not give me an account full stop, I dont have any bad credit just lots of searches (65) in the last 3 month.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

    65 SEARCHES!?!?!

And I thought I was bad with 11...

What the hell inspired you to make 65 searches? You've pretty much pooched your credit rating for 6 months to a year now... I know from bitter experience :(

A search a month is borderline, but 65 searches over three months would, to lenders, basically indicate you screaming "I AM VERY SKINT, I NEED MONEY NOW OR I WILL STARVE" at anyone who will listen. That's just... insane. I can't even think of 65 lenders off the top of my head...

My hubby has one default from almost 5 years ago (HSBC) anyway he decided to apply to Aqua, it does ask when you go on 'have you been bankrupt? You do have to answer, have you any CCJ's and have you any defaults. If you tick yes; like he had to with the default question. It asks how long ago and how many years ago.
Anyway, he got an instant decision and got a very good limit! They sent out the paper work 2 day's later to sign.
This time though and years wiser, he won't be paying any interest:rolleyes: We've both got the T.shirt on that one...............
Just to use and pay off and build up his credit score.
  • I phoned up this month to pay my bill but the customer services explained to me how to pay the bill by internet banking instead which suits me down to the ground! Very polite and helpful! Compare this to my dealings with Capital One. I misssed my first payment in nearly 2 years due to the fact i ran over and killed someone who jumped in front of the train I was driving on the Underground!. My payment went through 1 day late and they charged me £12. 2 emails to them to explain my situation went unanswered! So much for goodwill! Whilst I agree that all companies are different, it goes to show who has compassion when you have troubles ( which we all have )!!

I returned my signed credit agreement to Aqua on 19th March but have not received pin or card as yet. Does anyone know how long this usually takes. Thanks.
