I am currently trying to rebuild my credit history so applied online for an Aqua Credit Card and was approved. Does anyone know whether this is a definite approval or is it subject to further checks.
I have been declined for a credit card in the past so did not want to get my hopes up. Does anyone also know how quickly they process applications?
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think it is very difficult to get an aqua card so would imagine you have been approved.I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something0

When I applied, they rang me about four days later just to check my details and to tell me I'd been approved. Card came about 2 weeks after that.0

Hi,
According to Aqua Card website, it says people recently moved to UK can also apply for the card. My wife only arrived in UK in November.
When i click on apply know - it asks for uk addresses for the last 3 years?
Any ideas how can i apply for the card?
Thanks

Dont forget Aqua have a new APR of 39.9% I hate to say this but Vanquis gave me a better deal at 34.4 and I have two grand limit with Vanquis and Aqua have just put it up to £950 not that I use either of these cards now, as I have recnelty recived a Natwest Card 13.9% £1400 limit, Citi Credit Card £1000 16.1% and MBNA 14.9% £2500 Farewell Aqua and Vanquis0

Well, you'd have to be crazy to use Aqua/Vanquis/Capital One Classic as a credit card in the long term. They're basically stepping stones to better cards with higher limits, no more.
I personally can't wait to be rid of Aqua. The sales push they have on every call, the stupid menu system, the lack of online servicing, the low limits... at least Vanquis have good customer service, is more than I can say for Aqua. They've certainly reminded me why Halifax get so much stick...0 -
Remember that even with the Classic card from Cap1 you still benefit from their 'Identity alert', which among other things gives you 2 free Equifax credit reports per year, so maybe worth keeping the card just for that:money:ShelfStacker wrote: »Well, you'd have to be crazy to use Aqua/Vanquis/Capital One Classic as a credit card in the long term. Nah, I already subscribe to CreditExpert so 2 free reports isn't worth much to me. What *is* worth much to me is a nice big "settled" next to the account on my credit report...

I took out an AQUA card for exactly the same reason ie trying to rebuild my credit rating and although they are ultimately a rip off I have found their customer service to be the one of the best I have ever recieved! Might not mean alot to some but for me being able to speak to someone sensible on the phone and get a problem solved there and then was great. I obviously only speak from my experience but so far so good!0

Wow i can't believe people are still moaning about the APR on these types of credit cards.
If you use the card sensibly then you can rebuild your credit rating whilst paying no interest.0
