I'd say it's a possibility- but work out the payments on the basis of the agreed total amount you are paying her - that way it's up to HER to make sure the debt is at the best possible apr... obviously if it stays in her name then you have no power over that and personally I like to know that I can shop round for better deals on apr etc - if you are paying the debt then there is nothing incentivising her to get YOU the best deal on that debt... That means that you could be paying a very high APR and not be able to get a better deal...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
