friends of mine had trouble with spiders so they use a plug in thing in every room that sends out a signal that they don't like. They still get a few spiders but not half as many as when they first moved in. I'll try and find out where they got them from.
    HOW MUCH ?

most diy stores do these now but please be aware that if you have any rodent pets ie. hampsters, guinea pigs rats (yuk) etc these are no good as they send your pet demented .. we cant have them as we have a hampster..

  • Ive tried conkers, sticky tape stuff roiund window ledges, constant cleaning and hoovering corners, keeping plugs in the bath and sink...
(These things do seem to help a bit) but if one does get in - I cant get near it to kill, or get rid of it, even with a dyson - freaks me out that it could get out again.
Also tried therapy to overcome fear, but havent been able to, and to be honest dont want to becpme their friend -
so what is tihs magic spray, plug in, or powder which will keep them away, or kill them if they come near the inside of my house????

What do spiders  do and why were they created

I can think of only one reason and that is to humour my family, especially my 2 yr son when i s*#t myself and make stupid noises and run away.

I have bought 2 different sprays, both trigger spray, both from superdrug,
~ Vapona Micro-Tech. (grey and red colour) It says on the bottle -'acts as a slow realease insecticide, it sticks to the insect when it crosses the spayed area. Long lasting (3months) for the control of ants, beetles, SPIDERS  ' ect. I paid £4.99 for the 1st bottle, then a coule of wks later, it was reduced to £2.49. Have used 2 bottles since February time, and got 2 in cupboard, but still have loads of Spiders coming out to scare me-do you notice, its always at night, it is in my flat.

~ No More Spiders (clear bottle-with red lable with a spider  on it. The lable on the bottle says, i quote- 'No More Spiders creates a border preventing spiders from wishing to enter your home' It deters spiders but does not harm them. Approx £2-3.

My opinion on reading the label is even more frightening, (they spray wont be bought by people who dont mind spiders-so only people scared of spiders will be reading this) as now i know that spiders everywhere are wishing they could enter my home. It deters them, but does not harm them, whoever made this spray is a right comedien.

If you think that s funny, How to use No more spiders, i quote 'Spray the area of doors, windows and indeed all areas that spiders may use to gain entry to your home'
Well where do you start, if i was a spider wishing i could gain entry and enter my home, from where would i choose ? How many nooks and corners and hiding places could they be ?
And why doesnt it harm them ? what the point in that as they will gain entry from another entrance.

Hope this helps and you get some, not that i think either work, Spiders come out of our homes during april/may (for their summer hols i presume) and then come back in when it starts getting cold- sept/oct time. I always see loads at these times, and there huge.

I have the plug in things and they are specifically for spiders. My pet rats (which are certainly not yuck to me :) ) don't mind them at all. I checked with the bloke before I bought them and it's different frequencies apparently.

I found them via google and I'm sorry but it was 3 years ago and I can't say what website it was...

The bad thing about them is if you have a lot of stuff in your rooms, it blocks the soundwaves and then the little lovelies get in anyway...
