I sold a size 16 dress, only worn once (for my sons christining).
The buyer emailed me saying it was wrongly described, so being a nice person said I'd refund her the cost of item but not postage costs.
Sent dress back to me, hadn't even been out of my packaging! Then emailed me to say it was smelly, dirty and a size 10! (if only!!!) After several emails, some rather rude about my mental health she left me negative feedback!
Looking at her feedback she'd often done this.Toughest form of moutain climbing is climbing out of a rutI WILL be debt free!I WILL be happy!red pen member 40 -
I was selling some [STRIKE]!!!!!![/STRIKE] quality stuff on ebay and got excited when I got a question about it...
"Hi there, do I have to pay postage if I come and collect the item..."
:rolleyes:0 -
God I've laughed out loud all the way through this...
No bizarre questions but I just got told to end an item at the starting price "cos you're not gonna get more than that for it"
hahahahahaha..0 -

I've had someone kindly allow me not to pay p&p on a collection item. I was a bit confused about that particular email from the seller.

Slightly off topic but....my brother and his mates were chatting about films they'd seen recently....he said that he'd really enjoyed watching "Snakes on a Plane"
"What's that one about then?"...his mate said in all seriousness....Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0 -

Well there really is a lack of common sence in the world today. I`m still trying to get my head around the visual feast of dogs that erupted when i saw 101 Dalmations, what a shock.:eek:0 -
my dad sold a wooden greenhouse on ebay, collection only and said that buyer must have pretty big truck to put it on as my dad couldnt help dismantle due to a bad back. a guy contacted him and said he had done some measuring and said it will fit no problem on the van he had, duly turned up and started putting it into he van, sides, doors etc and then the end panels were too high, so he pulled out a hand saw and roughly sawed about 2ft from each end. Dad stood there amazed that this guy had paid all this money out and even before he got it home he had ruined it... dad just let him carry on sawing away and didnt say anything to him!!Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0

i once sold a sofa to a chap. told him it was rather large and was he sure it would fit in his house?
he said it would be ok.
i delivered it my van one evening. he had a small terraced house.
we got it in the front door ok after a real struggle. but it wouldnt go thro the lounge door, even after removing the door.
by this time he is rather annoyed.
he then gets a claw hammer and removes the complete door frame!
i made my excuses and left PDQ.Get some gorm.0 -
Have had a good giggle reading some of these, so thought I would contribute my weirdest question...
About a year ago I was selling an expensive ladies skirt suit. I got a message from a person who said they were an American man who liked to wear ladies clothing, and would I please send photographs of myself wearing the outfit from various angles and suggested poses. :rolleyes2
How would pictures of me in the suit have been of use to a cross-dressing bloke anyway? I did consider getting my other half to pose in it for a laugh, but thought better of it.0
