Life is !!!!!! sometimes ~ best thing to do is bite the bullet and get on with it and besides working for the LA chances are you WONT lose any money!!

No-one is more scare of needles than me. When my DD was 10 days old she needed a blood transfusion ~ I have given blood ever since. I dont look and sing que sara sara whilst they put the needle in ;)

No I really do faint, not just feel scared.

They have trouble with my funny little veins, then they have to put the needle in loads of places, then they can only get a little out.
Then my blood pressure drops & I go wozzy & have to sit down with my feet raised while they bring me tea.

    Oh, & thats just a blood test:o

Right I've found out from HR what happens.
I will be paid as normal from Surrey.
Then I will be paid by the court whatever I am deemed depending on less than or more than 4 hour days & how many of them.
Then Surrey will deduct from me in my next pay after that, however much the court pay me.
So my wages won't be affected. In case anyone else is wondering or worried about theirs, perhaps all employers do similar.

Glad you got it sorted to your satisfaction.

Its a very interesting experience. I'd love to do it again.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

Hmmm my head lecturer is refusing to support me in trying to get out of it.

Apparently I can miss the exhibition and not fail, but it still will majorly effect my grade. And the fact that its the week before the deadline? He said get my work finished early.

When I asked about the marks I would lose for the exhibition he told me to work harder in the other part. Ive been working for 2 years towards the chance to exhibit, Im not missing out that easily!

Will have to plead to the nice people at the Jurours place :(

£60 a day would only work out £15,600 a year. The average wage (not just in councils) is more than that.
I didn't say it was only for benefit claimants, I said it would make more sense for those on the dole to do it, as they have more free time.
What is wrong with that? Why should the tax payer pay me to sit on jury service? Why not get someone on the dole to do it?

Or a pensioner? They would probably like it.

    £15,600 a year...where...i'm moving if that's the average wage :-)
Loan-£3600 only 24 months of payments to go!!!
All debt consolodated and cards destroyed!!
As D'Ream would sing 'Things.....can only get better'!!!
