I was hoping someone here could help me with this one as I'm getting contradicting information as to my rights. I asked the question today of a hypothetical situation not unlike the one faced by the OP in a store for the company I work for.

The admin manager thought it was misleading (her word) and hence illegal.

The cost for each illegal error was 1,000 gbp to be paid by the manager, not the company.

(She's got 23 years experience...)
