just spoke on the phone with Ebay too they have decide to look into his activity as I gave them all his previous trading names and they are not impressed and will deal with him accordingly.

I bet by this time next week he will be :mad:

Sorry to hear about your problems. As MSE'ers will know from my thread on Powermatic Adjustable Beds, this is very common practise - start a business, rip people off (in my view), close it when things start getting a bit sticky (eg. Small Calims Court judgements, Trading Standards), open exactly the same thing under a different name, same staff, premises, phone numbers.

Unfortunately, once they have gone into liquidation it is difficult to get any money from them. You are doing the right thing reporting him and informing Trading Standards. You can leave negative comments on feedback sites on the web too, eg Blagger.com Best wishes.

I think you may have just saved us from a very expensive mistake. We were looking at this company on ebay two weeks ago and talked ourselves into buying a shed twice the size of the one we originally wanted because they seemed so cheap. We were waiting until they could post extra pictures of the the bigger one and were going to 'buy it now' (for 1300 pounds!!) but it mysteriously disappeared, along with all their other listings! Now we know why. So thank you for saving s from the scammers...

I found this thread after googling Timbabuild to try to find out how to contact them.

We purchased a shed for £1300 in Nov 07 and just like swt61's shed, the wood has started to go black in places and the roof has warped.
Like swt61 I got the number of e-bay and ordered over the phone as I wanted extra set of double doors.

Yesterday when I phoned the number I had used to order the shed, they said it wasn't Timbabuild. The receipt I've got doesn't have the phone number on - they are also not advertising on e-bay any more. I tried the other names given above (U.K. Sheds & STB sales but they're not on there either).

We think that we'll probably end up repairing it ourselves if it's so difficult to get any recompense from the company.

Here they are still on Ebay they have changed their name obn EBay several times in the last few months & I have reported them to EBay each time and so far up until now they have been taken off.

If you email them through EBay just like I did ask them about ordering a NEW Shed ThenEither Paul Higgs Or Lisa Higgs will Reply saying that they have sheds available, When they do you reply by saying o.k now come and replace my old one :rotfl: GO ON EVERYONE TRY IT ITS A GREAT WAY TO WIND THE GUY UP & FOR HIM NOT TO FORGET HOW HE HAS TREATED PEOPLE.:D

They are getting very annoyed and so they should be! They are ripping people off.

I have taken the Owner Paul Higgs to Court and the Case is being reveiwed by the Judge at the moment & we are waiting for a descision( Hopefully in our favour)

I will keep you informed,
