Just seems he is eager to disassociate himself from this company and I have a suspicious mind.Just my thoughts, other people may give a lot more concise advice.

Please check carefully that you did deal with this person and not with a company that he owned. If it was a company you can only bring a claim against the company, not the director/owner/shareholder. If the company has ceased trading you have no claim (well you do, but it is against a defunct company, so not worth much), even if he has set up another company doing exactly the same thing.
I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.

    Thanks for the reply,

So my court claim against him personally is a waste of time then ? He was the guy I always dealt with but the origianal Comapny name has ceased trading. He says on his form from the courts today that he is not employed anymore but i got someone to call today and ask to speak to paul higgs and they said he was out!!

I realise that we may not get our money back but I just vwant to try to do anything i can to make it difficult for this guy , They should not be allowed to get away with it ,

    regards,

    Simon

A casual employee is named as owner of the company?..Don't they have to let companies house know about previous names? Or was he not on Companies house website? Can you name the Company?

The company name was STB Sales Then Tinbabuild then Currently uk.sheds.

How can i blog these for people to stay away from even though they do not have a website only on Ebay currently with a 0 Rating now?

    Thanks,

    Simon

This address also being used by a company www.buxtons.net forestry equipment, and a tree surgeon Total Arb, Stafford Bookcases, amongst others. It looks like unit 6 coppice house is part of a small industrial unit.

doubt house insurance would pay out for a mouldy shed and whether it would be worth it with a premium hike? If the company wasn't listed then he as a sole trader will be liable too. Maybe mention inland revenue/tax evasion to him and see if he twitches.
