And your caps key seems to be sticking every word you type begins with a capital letter.

That usually happens when someone doesn't get the response they're looking for....the OP seems to have expected us to all roll over and say "poor you".

Take a hint, read the terms and conditions of your card, read the back of the statement (this is the usual place for details relating to making payments).

Use your time more wisely instead of moaning about a mistake YOU made.

Well I hope it is not catching.:D
  • I have recently closed my credit card account with the Halifax. The idiots are still sending me sheets of cheques even after I asked them not to send anymore correspondence. Are they stupid?

lindy4528, it can take 3 or 4 months after closing before you are 'off' the system, so it's quite usual to get stuff after you close an account.
  • Thanks for the info but why does it take that long?

I certainly dont want sympathy especially from you. I have read your replies for a while now and you are obviously a very nasty piece of work who gets a kick out of trying to belittle people. what does that say about you!!!!
God forbid, I so wish i was PERFECT!!!!!

Indeed it does. In fact, it's the ONLY way to maximise the (up to) 59 days interest free credit period offered by the card companies.
It also puts the onus on the card companies to collect, rather than the cardholders to send, the monthly payment.Postal delays do not affect DD collections.
The only thing a cardholder has to do is ensure they have funds available in their current account, and they have (up to) 28 days to do that following statement production.
