Iv got a 'linked address' on my credit report but I never even lived there. My report is with 'Annual Credit Report' (as I have no credit card to confirm who I am) and everytime I click on the link 'contact us' it, it wont connect so have no way of cantacting them to get them to remove it!

Hi
I'm wanting to end a HP agreement early- I have paid over half of it and just want to hand the goods back- if I do this will it affect my credit rating?
Hope someone can help0 -
Hi..
I settled a car finance account on 3rd September 2010 with Carlyle finance and received the settlement statement on the 6th September. I checked my credit details and its still shown as active for £28,000. Carlyle finance state their system has been down for 2 months and they can't update records. Experian wrote to them on my behalf over a week ago but Carlyle don't aknowledge receiving anything. This is stopping me from obtaining further credit due to the amount. Is there anything else i can do? Carlyle tell me it could be another 2wks before its fixed. I've spoken to 2 lenders and both suggest waiting til its shown settled before i appply despite having the statement proving its settled.
Many thanks

Hi,
On my latest credit file, 3 of my accounts with O2 state "Query Outstanding" for the month of September. Would anyone know what that means?
Thanks!

Recently been turned down for a career development loan even though mt credit score was 897 with Experian. My wife had a score of 999! But has still been turned down for three credit cards. We desperateley need some funds to sustain our studies. What's going on!? HELP!0

You got "experianed" again :-) You have just paid 16 pounds of your study money for a completely meaningless score - which Experian state 'is an indication of your creditworthiness". It means absolutely jack sh*t. Don't waste your money subscribing to this firm of comedians, who update your records on a 3 monthly basis - if they can be bothered. Yes the firms do check with these companies but then they apply their own criteria.
You could have an experian score of 999 and your neighbour has one of 734, he may get accepted as he has a different personal profile than you.
So to reiterate - don't waste your time on Experian certainly don't waste 7 pounds a month for their services. You are in essence the victim of the credit crunch (made worse by the fact that you have now been refused for 3 credit cards in a short period and are not starting to look desperate to the credit companies)0 -
Just found out the reason me and my missus could'nt get a good morgage was because of a loan she had and defaulted on, And was on reduced payments. we phoned the company and payed off the remainder of the loan how long will this take to look better on her credit report or will this always look bad or prevent us getting a good morgage.
Thanks

My husband and I have recently moved house and want to purchase a new car (as our old one is dying). We have not yet registered on the electoral register and in the process of doing so (just need to post the application) but are now worried that this will stop us getting the car finance. We were registered at all our previous addresses until the end of August - will the Electoral have a massive impact on us getting credit or will we be ok as we have been registered elsewhere until recently?0

Hi, just too let you know that "linked address" will always show onyour file. Mine is still showing on there even though I moved 14 years ago. It shows under linked address. Hope this is helpful
they should only be one your report up to 8years previous, unless this is your only other address.
I have a lot of linked addresses due to moving whilst at uni and as a graduate (tip: students, graduates beware of this!)
I am currently trying to get all my linked addresses updates as they are listed in triplicate. at the last count there were 168 address entries!!
Experian are trying to fix it, and have now got it down to duplicated entries but I'm still fighting to get these removed!!0 -

What can I do??
ring them up or send them a direct email quoting the entry number (ie B16)
I have linked address for a place I never lived and they removed it pretty quickly for me.0
