usb not recognised help please

Mobo is asus p4s800-mx-eaygz and these double entries/hyperthreading only came about once i had installed the combi card reader hub, would a reformat help?

I went back into safe mode and uninstalled all the usb entries and tried to uninstall the double entries within network adaptors but it wouldnt let me telling me the device couldnt be uninstalled as required for boot up here are the listings -

which is strange as i had uninstalled the wireless and it was a usb rather than a card and have not other card installed i use sound and graphocs from the mobo. Would a reformat solve this or would i just be bringing same problems back over again? Thanks for any advice given.

PS Just went into bios and disabled the hyperthreading option, which took away the extra entry of processor but again same usb problems and having to disable usb2 in bios for windows to recognise external hard drive
