Complaint AA Breakdown Renewal without notification

so I just cancelled with the AA. shame, as they've been good to me this year, but if they will insist on pricing me out...
my automated renewal quote was £251.
within a minute of calling them, they could do £189.
after going on hold for 2mins, they could match their online price of £159.99
But if I go with the RAC, the same cover is £154.99 + I can get £75 Quidco cashback, making the total cost £79.99.
no-brainer really, but a real shame these companies don't reflect loyalty in a financial sense.
So all I'll do in 12months time is cancel my RAC renewal, and take up whatever the AA/cashback offer is.
