I'm afraid I have to agree Berketex is rubbish regarding customer service even though I got my dress from them! The good thing was, I knew what I wanted and it was on sale. I had rubbish service at Berketex Birmingham, Bristol and Worcester. I was appalled it cut across branches!

As far as I am concerned, they all need retraining on how to talk to, look at and deal with customers!

I had fantastic service from Berketex in Birmingham. Tried on loads of dresses, their suggestions were really good and their communication once I'd placed an order was great. The staff were lovely, very chatty and not pushy at all.

I bought my gown from Berketex in Arndale last week. It was the second shop I had booked an appointment for and I was quite nervous as the previous boutique I visited had been really disinterested in me and I had not looked good in anything! I was starting to worry that I was never going to find 'the one'. It was rather busy and the assistant looking after me was wonderful. She spoke to me at length about my wedding day and themes, styles I liked etc before even picking out anything so she could get an idea of what would suit me and my day best. She didn't rush me to look through the huge selection and made some briliant suggestions which really suited me! I felt such a princess in my dress and there were tissues on hand for my mum and mother in law to be who got very emotional! The assistant and all the other staff were very complimentary and seemed genuinely interested and happy for me. I would recommend their services to anyone.

Its lovely that you have shared your experience of buying your dress Livia....it would be really lovely too as a new user if you would also like to join in the wedding discussions and planning on the rest of the board too...
Why not share the date of your wedding and any other genersl info...you will be warmly welcomed by the other brides to be who all love to share their wedding planning experiences....rather than your post appearing to praise just one company who have mixed reviews...and probably need all the advertising they can get..

LEJC I will be try my best but it is quite hard to get on between work and wedding planning! But i'm sure there's lots of ideas in WP that will help me with my planning so will definitely have a look!

I when to their store in woodstock street just off oxford street on saturday and have to say it was the worst wedding dress experience ever. Not only did they have no idea who was suppose to be helping me at first. It was the the sale and despite booking and appointment I was put in the hotest changing room which had a floor covered in bent pins sticking dangerously out of the carpet! the assistant didn't help me get in and out of the dresses and the dresses where creeded and in some cases ripped and dirty! other assistants kept coming and grabbing dresses and acessories that I was looking as I was getting changed. my mum and sister were shove in a corner there were about four of us trying to look at the dresses in one mirror. they rushed through the dresses the veils were crushed. also the assistant did not ensure the dresses were acuately sitting correctly on me. the assistant was pushy and when I said I wasn't convinced that the dress was the one couldn't wait to get me out the door! needless to say I have got my dress elsewhere!
