This article was in today's 'the london paper' It makes an interesting read::D http//thelondonpaper.newspaperdirect.com/epaper/viewer.aspx

I went to Boots in swiss cottage (for a change!) this morning. Very small store with tiny clearance shelf (I've become obsessed with clearance shelves of late:rotfl: )

I bought:

Janina ultra tooth whitening paste 2.20
2xBoots basic toothpaste 8p each
Boots basic toothbrushes pk of 2 for 7p = 2.48, paid with points

Also went to bond street store. I bought:

2xSanctuary foot souffle 50peach
carefree liners 43p = 1.43, paid with points

Still on the hunt for MF GWP. Very dissapointed with Kensington store. I have always found previous MF GWP's at this store in the past, but so far they have not had the current one that everybody is finding. shellylovesshopping, I share your pain! However, I am determind to find these in London (Luton never have MF GWP's so no point looking there!) there must be some, somewhere:confused: If I find a couple, I'll send you one.

EDIT: Ooops, not sure what happened, but link didn't work. Will try again!
EDIT: sorry, it won't work!

This is a short version of the article:
9428505]You are going to tell me I was in Bletchley now and not MK lol, near Ikea and the Next Clearance, they had about 20 in there!

I have had a brilliant days shopping what with Ikea, then the huge ASDA next door then drove down the road to Next and Boots!
That's not the store I went to. Trust me to go to the one without the MF GWP's! TBH I don't even know where Bletchley is:confused: and I've only been to MK a couple of times. Since moving to Luton from London, I haven't really visited many towns in the area, except for stevenage and Hemel. Are there any other Boots stores I should know about?

BTW, I've been looking for the expert mitt you mentioned previously, but can't find them. Whereabouts are these instore?
Yeah I had a really dodgy customer on Friday.
The main point of my question is that I was wondering if you all would get offended if someone said
"sorry you don't have enough points to pay but I can void things out to do two seperate transactions if you like?
Oh and just to make everything quicker for yourself in future you need to ask to pay in points at the start of the sale as you can only pay for items worth less than you have on your ad card and it means it's easier for you to pay that way" *smile at customer*

.
Sorry to hear about your 'customer from hell' she sounds like a nasty piece of work! I'd love you to work at my local store. I'd never give any grief:D
when I plan to spend my points, I usually check my balance on AC machine If I have forgotten how many points I have. Then I mentally add up all the items in my basket before I approach the till. That way, I don't cause any confusion at the till.

Dotchas, It's great to hear CS awarded you so many points:j I am really pleased for you:D enjoy spending them.

Where is everyone? Am I the only one still awake?
• On sunday i popped into harrow boots...managed to get a few s&g bits in combination with the 200pts ACM and 200pts h&b mag vouchers..
They had quite a few things for about £5 including:

heel genius £5
celluite removing soap (can't remember its name!) £4.99
Jam sessions £5

Quite alot in stock!
Happy shopping :D

YES, bascially a FREE toothbrush and 1p credit. Great bargain.
Hi everyone ! Sorry to split hairs but did it not take off £1.20 because you'd bought 2 toothbrushes. You paid £2.40 for 2 and the till took off £1.20. So if you bought 1 brush for £1.20 it would take off 60p. This means the cheapest you can get them for is 60p ? (Hope this ramble makes sense ??:rotfl: )

Am I the only person who can't bear to waste vouchers. It's the week before payday and I've got 6 haircare vouchers still to use up so I'm running through all the possible combinations.

Should I:

Concentrate on the free or nearly free stuff?
Put them all towards full price items which is still a decent bargain?
Have a ceremonial burning?

I have a cupboard full of pantene sh/con/serum which I haven't even started on yet and I have short hair.

What is everyone else going to do with theirs???

I guess if you've got your receipt, you'd prob just get back the £4.99 you paid (after the voucher was taken off - but I'm never sure whether vouchers count as actual "money" or not, sorry!), but without a receipt I think you'd be able to swap it for something else worth £9.99 (once Time Delay goes back up to full price) - perhaps put it towards a Sanctuary purchase and get the next GWP??? Good luck!

Thanks clare+3 :)

Thinking about it, that Olay/Time Delay/Roc voucher really reeled me in lol. I bought items from every range that had £5 off ...and only managed one or two freebies - like the Time Delay wipes!

If I used all the anti-ageing stuff I bought, I should end up looking like the grand daughter of pollsdoll's alter ego :rotfl: And, if it's true that you should only apply creams with your 4th finger .....then my fourth finger is yet to be born! :D;)

The Boots money-making machine really worked in that instance imo :)
