Hiya, I know this is going to sound so sad but up untill yesterday I had never really done a proper shop using all the vouchers before. I bought a lot and paid very little.

    First shop:
1x pantene conditioner £2.79 used £2 off voucher was 79p
1 x layer effects pantene mouse £3.79 FREE

    2nd shop:
    1 x pantene shampoo 2.79
1 x layer effects hairspray free
    1 x no17 foundation 4.99 plus 100 free points
no17 face wipes should be 2.99 free
    no17 lip glaze 3.79 free
fcuk deoderant 3.00 but used 2 xmas money off voucher and came up as payment 0.00 so free
got fcuk deoderising wipes same as above came up as free
so total for my shop was 7.68 paid for shampoo and foundation everything else was free, and i got 100 points and saved 13.02

I am so pleased with myself. I can see how it becomes addicitive lol. Cant wait for the next one now.

    xx

Just checked .com and the anti-blemish stuff is half price (all apart from the Boots Expert Anti-Blemish Day Moisturiser SPF 15 for some bizarre reason). Maybe I should get it from there instead.

I got this in my local store in the clearance for £1 last week. It went through with mag voucher no probs (i cut off photo like someone suggested way back - thanks)

    Hi Everyone!

Just spent the last hour or so catching up - have been on my night shift weekend so havent been to boots or had time to catch up on the forum :(

I managed to get there late last week and bought 400ml Pantene Ice Shine Conditioner and risked it by taking the ice shine serumto the counter to try and get it for free. Needless to say, it didn't go through as free so I quesioned the offer because it said "any Pantene styling product" and how come the other serum would go through but not this one....anyway the sa agreed with me and put her magic key in to override the till :j

Also stuck a 5ml John Frieda thing in my basket as well so I could use one of my till spits :D:D

Was very please. Not sure if I would dare do it again, but might be worth a try if anyone else out there is feeling brave ;)

    Hope you are all well.

    Jo xx

    Are you psychic? lol.

Yeah I had a really dodgy customer on Friday. One of my first customers actually. Wanted to pay with points when she hadn't enough. So I pointed out that to make things easier for herself it's best to ask to pay in points at the start. She took this as me insulting her and called me rude, unhelpful etc (even though I was in the process of putting through her seperate transactions). She was even pulling sarcastic faces at me, and as I said "thanks very much" while giving her change she snapped the money from me.
She then phoned up in the afternoon to complain saying lies like I refused to put her shopping through on points and shouted and argued with her and that she will never shop at Boots because of me.
Luckily the manager she spoke to knows me even though she isn't my manager, and she knew that I would never treat a customer like that. I always have great feedback on the survey and I even served the managers mum without knowing who she was and she praised my service so much I got a gift.
What has really annoyed me is what if the person who took the call believed the customer? I could have been in so much trouble and it was all lies.

The main point of my question is that I was wondering if you all would get offended if someone said
"sorry you don't have enough points to pay but I can void things out to do two seperate transactions if you like?
Oh and just to make everything quicker for yourself in future you need to ask to pay in points at the start of the sale as you can only pay for items worth less than you have on your ad card and it means it's easier for you to pay that way" *smile at customer*

Wow that was a big long rant, sorry for boring you all lol.

Maybe i am!!! LOL!!! I cant understand why anyone would be offended for receiving some advice its crazy!!! I personally always say bout points at the start of a sale!!! Ive got so many now i dont want to part with them though!!!

    Good point orlaith!!!
