regarding the hair till spits.
i buy john frieda hairspray moisture barrier one its only £2.49 so 49p to pay much better value than the 1.99 serum.
been bootsing alot this week and got alot of bargains in the reduced sections of my locals. kirkcaldy has reduced their accessorize hat boxes to £4.50 so bought one with points. been waiting ages on them reducing them further.
cant really see how anybody would pay £18 for it! oh well will go in the gift cupboard!my boots and tesco addictions are costing me a fortune
 :j
am tackling my debt cant bury head in sand any longer
april 08 : £1600

Hi just had a very quick trip to Boots in Woking and got the 5ml frizz ease free with till spit and also got the 17 341 using the mag voucher.
I got the lip glaze and 2 lip liners and paid 58p total!
I got the in the buff and mortica ones that have been mentioned on here previously and looking at my receipt I can see that the mortica one went through at 50p but the in the buff one didn't have a barcode on so the SA got another one to scan - except she has scanned an eyeliner instead that has come up at 58p (no idea what the SEL was for this but it must have been higher than 58p!)
afraid I don't know what colour all my receipt says is 17 P/Def E/Line Rm
so if anyone wants a cheap eyeliner instead of the lip liner might be worth having a look to see what they scan at.

I now have several of the 5ml serums and two 25ml ones (£3.49 so just add £1.49 in cash) but am wondering if there's a good deal to be had on any of the other products included in the offer.
Also, if you have a tillspit to hand, when are they valid until? They always seem to run out of the cheaper options in the last few days of the tillspit offers so I'm using mine as soon as I get them.
Hi Geordie_lass, I have one of the tillspits & it says they are valid until 29 March ~ HTH XxXx Vanda xXx0 -

Thanks, Pollsdolls - that made me smile - and it's a grotty day so I need cheering up!:rotfl:0 -
Oh dear me too, I was hoping someone else would have replied to this
The only (easy) example I can give is when I said I'd redeemed some points in exchange for an item of fcuk from the clearance section, which was priced at £1.60. There must have been a third off the fcuk that day, as instead of taking 160 points off, it took 160 points but then gave me 54 points back.
So there's no added points as such, you just redeem less points than the item would normally have deducted. Therefore it's points that you're saving on.
That didn't help at all did it *Jelly Tots*? :rotfl:
I'll try again later - but it's not that exciting!!! I understand now (lightbulb turns on in brain).:T

Okay, if you get an item that costs £1, you can either hand over £1 in cash or 100 points.
If you buy two, you hand over £2 or 200 points.
But if these items are on BOGOF, you will either hand over £1 for the two items, thus saving yourself £1 or, if you are using points to pay, you will hand over 100 points, not 200 points, thus saving yourself 100 points.
I am not sure however if your till reciept will say you have had 2 x 100 points taken off then refunded the 100 points for the BOGOF, or if it just takes off a straight 100 points. I've never done a transaction like this. But if it did do it the first way then it would look like you are being given 100 points, while in fact you would be getting them refunded. IF...and I say IF again, because this is only hypothetical on my part, the till did calculate it that way.
But whatever...on the example above, you'd be saving £1 or 100 points, depending on the way you paid. Saving as in not having to spend them to get the second item.
Clear as mud??????:D
So points are treated as money and you can still get money-off bargains with them, just not points-related bargains. Boots aren't daft are they?0 -
Just got back from Windsor where I managed to find a Lee Stafford poker straight balm for £2.49 , I used till spit so paid 49p and lots of Cow and Gate baby cereal for 48p. I got 2 packets but she put them through at 40p instead??
The half price didn't work on baby sensitive wipes on BOGOF like it used to. Did buy the sandwich deal for future use of no 7 coupons.
What I don't understand is that this one Lee Stafford was on the clearance shelf but there was a whole section amongst the rest of the Lee Stafford items that were reg price.
Does anyone know of any weekender bags near Camberley? Here come the girls....100% Gorgeous!!!0 -
Thanks to Ninetails I went into Richmond boots this morning.
I picked up a No 7 Illuminating Souffle - it was reduced to £2.25, but I was able to use my 200 extra points voucher that I picked up in a Christmas set, so only paid 25p! Also picked up a couple of Naked face masks, reduced to 25 pence each! Lots of nail varnish, lipstick, mascara, and fake tan left in the clearance section upstairs.

You lucky, lucky thing! Enjoy!Don't forget the two £3 off vouchers - one in each item.
