Oh dear - sorry to be thick :o but I didn't understand when Orlaith said "So you aren't getting bonus points, you are actually saving points, just as you save money", (when she was talking about a link-save). Can anyone explain ?
    Many thanks!

Okay, if you get an item that costs £1, you can either hand over £1 in cash or 100 points.

If you buy two, you hand over £2 or 200 points.

But if these items are on BOGOF, you will either hand over £1 for the two items, thus saving yourself £1 or, if you are using points to pay, you will hand over 100 points, not 200 points, thus saving yourself 100 points.

I am not sure however if your till reciept will say you have had 2 x 100 points taken off then refunded the 100 points for the BOGOF, or if it just takes off a straight 100 points. I've never done a transaction like this. But if it did do it the first way then it would look like you are being given 100 points, while in fact you would be getting them refunded. IF...and I say IF again, because this is only hypothetical on my part, the till did calculate it that way.

But whatever...on the example above, you'd be saving £1 or 100 points, depending on the way you paid. Saving as in not having to spend them to get the second item.

    Clear as mud??????:D

Chiswick: Suede Sanctuary weekender bags for 10.00 (but I wasn't tempted), sunscreen clearance.

Gosh you peeps move fast, on reflection I went this morning and got the last suede bag and was lucky I found the last little luxuries GWP as well - it was on the shelf with 10.00 SEL and no sign that it was a GWP. Haven't tried Sactuary yet but looking forward to it.

It's really nice stuff and that combination was a good buy when the bag was £20, let alone £10. And the bag is an excellent size for holidays. I get totally fed up with sponge bags that can barely accomodate a couple of bottles of hair products plus soap. I camp and I need a bag big enough to transport all my stuff to the shower block, not some titchy "designer" one. Or you could use it to carry a family sized selection of sun products to the beach.

Thanks Val - now that I'm bootsing, I will need a bigger bag to carry around all the treats as well as essentials!

Would any kind people be able to report in on where they have seen either the Sanctuary suede bag - or the MF GWP? Pretty please!

(I'm on a promise for a shopping trip and would love to find one/both of these - I'm in Oxfordshire)

    Hi KrispiiDuck,

The Oxford Cornmarket St branch has no MF GWP's and no Sanctuary suede bags  Sorry I can't be of more use but hopefully I can save you a wasted journey.
Good luck with the hunt- let me know if you manage to track them down!
  • Has anyone come across any good bargains to use the haircare tillspit on, apart from the JF serum? Between us we must be causing a national shortage :rotfl:

I now have several of the 5ml serums and two 25ml ones (£3.49 so just add £1.49 in cash) but am wondering if there's a good deal to be had on any of the other products included in the offer.

Also, if you have a tillspit to hand, when are they valid until? They always seem to run out of the cheaper options in the last few days of the tillspit offers so I'm using mine as soon as I get them.

When the last till spit was out there were no td wipes left so i ended up with 2 x td cleanser to use them up. Put them on ebay as i won't use but went unsold. Took them back to boots last week and asked for exchange. TD wipes now on offer (think 1/3 off or something) so i got 2 AND botanics facial moisturiser with free face wipes and paid an extra 25p (ish). So i got 4 items instead of the 2 i would have got if they'd had the td wipes in the till spit validity period IYSWIM. So maybe you could get some shampoo, use your till spit and exchange without receipt for something else

    Hope thats not too confusing!
