I will be going to Boots tomorrow in Newcastle so do I need to pick up a magazine first for the vouchers for the Expert mitt and the toothbrush?
Also I want to buy 4 lots of Mens skin stuff and I believe I read there was a voucher in the mag for that as well, but I also have some of those pink vouchers for 250 points, at least I think they are, so what is the best combination to use?
Also how many times do I have to go through the tills?
Although, I read this thread I am still pretty clueless when it comes down to it. Thank you0 -
Not sure how many 250 pts for no7 you have etc
If expert mitts are not in stock, the 3 bladed razors are good and cleansing soaps are great for 80 odd pence. Also...No7 mens £3 sarnie voucher...you get a free sarnie out of it technically. TRY GET A £2 HAIRCARE VOUCHER TOO!
Shop 1
Look around shop and plan your attack
Buy (make up to £5 if you do not yet have a £2 haircare voucher)and consume a sarnie and grab a free mag!
Shop 2
BUY:
JF Hairspray 2.49
No7 Mens about 6.00
Mitt 1.29
Wisdom Fresh Toothbrush 2.39(half price)
Magazine
USE:
£2 hair voucher spit
100pts mag voucher for no7 mens
£3 sarnie voucher no7 mens
250pts pink no7 skincare voucher from GWP
100pts mag voucher for expert
Half Price mag voucher for wisdom fresh
Total goods worth:12.17
Total to pay:4.78 so buy some gum or something to make up to £5
Points:450
So basically if you eat a sarnie etc you spend just over £5 and get 450pts back if you have the one from pink gwp
or if you do not go for the sarnie it works out....
Total spend 7.78 and 450pts which is still good going!
Not sure what others would do though!0 -

As you use polish and still your nails grow long, maybe you could give me a tip. I usually only polish my toenails, but last month I did my nails for a couple of weeks. My nails started to crack down below the end of my finger, so I stopped using polish. They still are really short and cracked and look like hell. Have you had this problem before? I wonder if it was the nail polish or the nail polish remover? And how do I get them back to good? I've been using hair and nail vitamins.0 -
I'm just a scaredy cat. Today had to return something without a receipt that daughter bought and sa excused herself and went off to the office next to the tills and seemed to be looking at something on wall then tannoy went off for somebody to come to front tills and I got quite concerned and all for trying to return something so I don't think I'm up for the job. I wonder how they stand legally refusing to let us have something that their tills says is £0.00. Oh well one day maybe .
It's quite possible she was checking on the correct returns procedure...when I worked in retail we used to keep the procedures pinned up on the wall of the coffee room.
I'm still bothered about the technicalities of the £0.00 purchases as well. After all if the reciept says "Receipt does state 0.00 and says MF GWP P13 NAIL. " then the arguement would be that you hadn't fulfilled your end of the contract ie made a purchase to get the gift with.
I think it would also depend on how the GWP was displayed and ticketed at the counter. If it just said "Free Gift" then you could argue that you thought it was a freebie. If it clearly stated that there should be a total spend or a minimum number of purchases well, you're on shakey ground.
I'm just thinking of what one could say if stopped by security that's all. If you use the SS tills and don't hand over a penny for anything then it's blindingly obvious that you knew you weren't paying for it. And if the display literature said "Free with £15/3 purchases" well I think a court would argue that you were knowingly attempting to defraud them. But if you either (a) put it through with other purchases then you could act dumb and say you hadn't understood the till message and ooops, you did think it was cheap for the lot or (b) go to a manned till and blame it firmly on the SA.
I'm not presuming to comment on the morality of any of this...I am after all the person with two S&G "free" bags sitting through in my bedroom! But I''m just saying Be Careful, Ladies. I'm not a lawyer but I suspect this is a pretty grey area legally, with quite a lot of potential for unpleasentness. And there may not be an obvious security camera around but the SS till log will be recording everything. Our local Tesco bank of SS tills has a computer with a split screen showing every item being rung through live as it happens, and an SA to monitor this. Plus who's to say the SS tills don't have integral cameras?
Must ask my DS. She IS a lawyer.Val.0 -

It's likely that the remover dried out your nails. I have soft weak flakey nails and the only way to grow them is to moisturise them, belive it or not. Any old hand cream rubbed into them will do the trick, or you can get a vast number of nail conditioners. Just don't get things that call themselves nail hardeners ie these liquids that you paint on. They dry weak nails out more and make them brittle. Wear rubber gloves to do the washing up/cleaning/gardening, and put hand cream on every time you wash your hands because this dries out soft nails as well. I only wear polish for special occasions now and I take it off again the next day and use a nail conditioning treatment after. My nails will never grow untra long, but they do look quite respectable and I buff them up with nail shine cream (Carnate) and a buffer so that they're not totally plain.
Good way to use up all these tiny pots of face cream that you get with GWP and don't much like, btw. Keep one in your desk drawer and one in your handbag and use it on your nails!Val.0 -

You can get a free lunch out of it, actually. The Meal Deal is £2.99 and for that you can have your pick of the posh smoothies and juices and all sorts of nice yummy puddings to go with your sandwich. Also, as a bonus, if you buy five Meal Deals in the same calendar month you'll get the sixth one free. So if you're really dedicated you could spend £15 on your lunches, get SIX meal Deals (Drink, sandwich and pudding/snack) and £18 worth of men's No7 vouchers.
The No7 voucher offer won't be on long though so perhaps it would be worth offering to pick up your work collegues lunches too next week?Val.0 -

The vouchers expire on the 25th and yesterday the sandwiches dated 20th had vouchers in and the ones dated 21st didn't, so maybe they've already finished giving the vouchers out. Going to get my free meal today, kids want Pizza Hut so I've an excuse to try and be healthier! Will try and get a few toothbrushes too but like you Val a bit unsure about MF, would love one but don't think I'm brave enough, lol!!0 -
